19th Annual Haltech ECU World Cup Finals - Imports vs Domestic, Maryland Int'l Raceway November 7-9, 2014
Real Street - Super Street Round by Round Eliminations Coverage. This was the quickest field in class history and the racing didn't disappoint, the finals pair up the Import of Shawn Ramey in the Ramey Built / Sheepey Civic against the Domestic of Harold Horton and his 03 Cobra. It was a great race that Harold took the win on a hole shot his 8.38 beat Shawn's 8.33.

I started to look differently at this event since I read the rules, probably haltech's customer base is mostly imports, but why you gotta make domestics choke on tiny turbos and have double the weight?

Not really, we prefer motec or aem. And that's a good question on turbo size, maybe because the rwd domestics have a traction advantage, just a thought

Can someone please explain how in the hell 8.38 is faster than 8.33 seconds I just don't understand that ending, isn't the civic faster because it has a faster time, can someone explain please.

It all depends on the type of racing. In head's up, (both competitors abide by class rules/vehicle mods permitted) the lights turn green, both cars leave and first person to cross the line wins. If car 1 runs a .04 better 1/4 time than car 2 but car 2 has a reaction time that is .05 quicker than car 1 at the light the winner would be car 2 by .01. Look at the race @ 2:10 you can literally see the civic in the lane closest to the camera jump before the other (both didn't redlight). At the end the civic closest to camera won with a slower time only because they made up for it by cutting a faster light

He mustang crossed the finish line first despite the civic having a faster ET.

But to me the civic crossed the finish line first, im kinda confused, can you explain what's the ET about, I know what it means but what it's about

carter958 The civic did not cross the finish line first. The ET + reaction time for the civic was slower than the ET + reaction time of the mustang. ET is elapsed time or the amount of time it takes the car to reach the finish line once it breaks the starting line beam.
