WD40 cleaning the Oven, an idiots guide

2 жыл бұрынCleaning a domestic oven with WD40 seemed a good idea and the results were good. The final testing involved turning the power on and running the oven up to temperature during which time I returned some tools to the garage, I returned to find the smoke alarm screaming in harmony with my wife and the dog! Do not do this, you will be called an idiot for all your efforts!

Had door hinges so rusty and carbonised on my parents 20 year old oven, they were almost complete seized. WD40 made them good as new, if even a little loose. But the smell dear god, I hope it burns off eventually. Maybe leaving the oven door open all day might help. Don't want anyone to think they're getting poisoned. Still wouldn't have used anything else.

@文kuj It's toxic when you get it in your food. And it's petrol based => it's flamable.
