Richard Bona does not only play the e-bass in a harmonic and hypnotic way , but also his singing in the language of Douala is one of his famous brand-label.

..como puede ser que hace 8 años, fue este acierto de show.?. Y escucharlo, caigo en cuenta que los sonidos no envejecen, tan solo están en el universo musical dando brillo y alegría a las personas de buena voluntad, que gusta de unificar alegrías con arte. The sound of Richard Bona's bass was always there, up front and center; It was never lost in the background but he allowed every one else to shine through and share the sound stage with him. Very rare occurrence in music. 👍👏👏🙂🙏

This big band is extraordinary! Richard Bona might be one of the best bass players I've heard since Jacko. But this concert in total is wonderful! I highly recommend it. At times reminds me a bit of Weather Report

As a matter of fact, Richard played and recorded with Joe Zawinul in the ZAWINUL SYNDICATE, which Joe formed in 1988 after Weather Report disbanded in 1986.

Mais que c'est beau ! Je ne me lasse pas du titre Indiscretion qui est une pure merveille. Cette intro tellement riche d'émotion, de racines, d'âme et d'humour ! Et quand le groove démarre et que l'orchestre le suit c'est juste un moment d'exception ! C'est le mélange de toutes ces choses qui font que la musique est essentiel à la vie ! @@cedricmonbaron734 c'est rigolo parce que c'est exactement le même titre qui a retenu mon attention et plus particulièrement le moment où il chante les notes qu'il joue (ou l'inverse...!) et la reprise de l'orchestre, c'est phénoménal !! Et joyeux !! Je m'intéresse aux vidéos de basses et de bassistes et trop souvent les musiciens sont très fort techniquement mais tellement vides d'émotions que c'en est pénible. Ici la technique est sous entendue, déjà acquise et ce n'est plus le propos, et cela laisse la place à l'émotion, à la joie, au plaisir de jouer et de partager avec les autres musiciens et bien sûr le public !

Je trouve vraiment cette intro sublime et l'émotion et toute son âme nous parvient à chaque note de manière si intense, pure et sans filtre. Je suis entièrement d'accord qu'ici il n'est plus question de technique mais juste de transmettre cette émotion brute et Dieu sait si ça fonctionne ! Assister à un de ses concerts est une expérience incroyable...je l'ai vécue en life pour la première fois le 27 Décembre 2007 à Yaoundé...s'était très brutal! Un maestro !

In my opinion, there is absolutely no doubt that the WDR Big Band is a superb and classy band of the highest order. The band consistently delivers a wonderful and entertaining experience. All the musicians are dedicated and accomplished and evidently know their craft. The band has performed with the likes of Maceo Parker, Take Six, Joe Zawinul, Bill Evans, Roy Hargrove, Steps Ahead, and The Yellowjackets. I have no hesitation in recommending that one watch ALL the WDR Big Band videos available on You Tube. It will be time very well spent.

Great Concert ever. Legendary Richard Bona over the year has been one my favourite musician and a pro I’ve always listened to his music. I’ve learnt most of his songs. Live on legend

Since Buddy Rich's Big Swing Face album, I haven't listened to a big band as much as the wonder you played that night with Richard Bona. You were able to make an Argentinian happy, which is almost a miracle, thank you
