This whole situation is tragic, but seeing her walk away completely alone after everything just crushed me. But thank God she COULD walk away from that.

Someone needs to start a gofundme for her asap. I'm shocked no one has, especially considering her dire situation now.

She sounds like a lost little girl. She's deeply hurt, and badly scarred by this. But I will say something for her; she facilitated her own rescue by breaking out that window, and yelling for help. And she is brave enough to want her story told, and brave enough to walk away from the interview apparently without fear. She's a lot stronger than she seems. She's maybe even stronger than she realizes.

Nobody deserves this. This is wrong to treat a human like this.

That guy never needs to see the light of day again. Hopefully she gets the help she needs and the child is protected.

You know she's being genuine when someone has taken so much from you and you have a 1 year old who you need to support... and when the news reported asks you what people can do to support you ... her reply was "I dont know , I've never been in this kind of situation before" I hope a community that empathises with her will surround her with support and care some people would use that question to get a new house or money or something of kind.

She didn't give up hope. She did all she could to save herself and thankfully those neighbors heard her cries for help. So glad she was able to get away and I hope shes able to find the strength to pull through this

This happened to close to my family in Louisville and is so scary. No matter how safe of a area we think we live in here in these Kentucky mountains there are always someone watching us or who knows what goes on behind closed doors around us. My prayers are with that poor girl.

I'm glad these neighbours called 911. Please don't ever turn a blind eye to domestic violence. Don't be that coward that says "I gotta mind my business". All it takes is picking up a phone to save someone's life.

They ask how can people help you and she said didn’t know, but maybe she didn’t want to ask for help on camera. Some people don’t want to ask and it needs to be offered. I sure hope she gets all of the help she wants and needs.

Oh bless her when she was asked how people could help help her,what does she need,she said she didn't know,she is so traumatised,so scared,she almost comes across child like.. I have seen one or two comments assuming the life she leads,let's not judge her or the situation..And even if those people are right,what's that going to do,does that make these people feel good??.. Never judge,you could always end up in a simular situation,you might not think it now.. What hurt me the most about this story is when the first officer enters the bedroom, the first things Ms. Wilson says is "I'm sorry". She was so afraid, she apologized to the people who were there to recuse her. I really want her to get therapy & be allowed to recover from this. She's clearly had a rough life, but she's still a person. I only want the best for her & her daughter.

This made me cry! My ex used to abuse me physically, verbally and mentally. I hope she has family and friends helping her out. The fact they just let her walk away after going through something like that...system is failing us.

Being held against thier will. Also. Many people being held against thier will. Are in plain site. Many kidnappers know. That neighbors are not close. And people don't talk or know thier neighbors.
