The forced sacrifice definitely feels unnecessary. They mentioned it was meant to be an RNG punishment but I feel like forgetting a move or losing a percentage of stats would still be devastating but not completely ruin a run. You already recruit rarely and often have a small team, especially if you go for a fusion(s). One could argue that you should just pick a candle or similar for the reignite feature but that would mean candle is a must get no matter what and feels poor for game design as well. I really hope the balance is adjusted a bit. The game looks interesting but judging by the amount of people joining their discord the public response has fallen flat.

I think if there was like a small chance after each battle to recruit one of the combatants that would make combat more worth it too. Maybe have mid way unique bosses that can be recruited after defeat as well.

One thing that should definitely be changed above most other things is the stats on new units in later areas. You shouldn't get a new unit then immediately lose them the second you get to a battle. Even just that would go a long way towards helping the game balance. Tho, it still needs a LOT of work even with that

few balances were already made - sacrifice can now be skipped for money and you can also use an artifac to bypass it - new game+ is now available with modifiers (enemy stronger, all enemy demons, etc.) - the game gets easier as you play since you will get artifacts from previous runs and you will learn more about bosses and enemies (weakness and tricks to defeat them), reaching ACT1 and ACT2 also unlocks new evolings with new powers (like the mushrooms you used) - you should use evopedia more, it lists fusion detail and moves of know evolings (also their special powers)

I feel like there should be a 5% bias towards evolings of the same type. That would make some builds more consistent. But you could just make it no longer forced fusions maybe
