About One Hour One Life
This game is about playing one small part in a much larger story. You only live an hour, but time and space in this game is infinite. You can only do so much in one lifetime, but the tech tree in this game will take hundreds of generations to fully explore. This game is also about family trees. Having a mother who takes care of you as a baby, and hopefully taking care of a baby yourself later in life. And your mother is another player. And your baby is another player. Building something to use in your lifetime, but inevitably realizing that, in the end, what you build is not for YOU, but for your children and all the countless others that will come after you. Proudly using your grandfather's ax, and then passing it on to your own grandchild as the end of your life nears. And looking at each life as a unique story. I was this kid born in this situation, but I eventually grew up. I built a bakery near the wheat fields. Over time, I watched my grandparents and parents grow old and die. I had some kids of my own along the way, but they are grown now... and look at my character now! She's an old woman. What a life passed by in this little hour of mine. After I die, this life will be over and gone forever. I can be born again, but I can never live this unique story again. Everything's changing. I'll be born as a different person in a different place and different time, with another unique story to experience in the next hour...

Omg, that was my town I was one of the first Queens. I had the key to lock up all knifes and thats what I did. It looks like some of my descendants didn't see the risk of having all the knifes out.😢

I was born of the prophet as DAN 4, I grew up started seeing people get murdered and I peace'd out. I ran off into the woods and set up a separate small village with 5 children. After I died I got off and a few hours later I got back on and I was born into the SAME CITY! Only everyone was dead except for 2 ladies and I watched my mother die and then my aunt spent the rest of her life tending to berry farms and having kids. She didn't have any girls and I was a male so that city died out because of that cult. CRAZY LIFE! but really fun.

Was born there yesterday. First born of course, but it was cute. People gathered and i wasn't slaughtered, but let to the burial grounds for ceremonial starvation :) Great concept for population control.

Having studied eyewitness accounts left behind in the comments centuries ago that I managed to dig up, I think I can piece together the story of this long lost civilisation. The city was originally ruled over by a wise and peaceable queen, who locked away all the knives to prevent bad people getting hold of them. Some say that the cultists arrived from elsewhere. A smaller settlement. But whatever the truth of it, apparently the cult rose up against the queen and her guards, leading to war. Then, once they took over the city, the madness spread. With grisly reports of ritual starvation of children. Horrible. There are many claims about who was the first Prophet Dan. But none can be corroborated. What is known, however, is that the bloodletting finally took its toll and the city fell into ruin leaving only one person behind. When he died, there was no one to pass on the history to those who came upon the city finding the wealth left therein. Perhaps this was for the best. For some things are best left forgotten...

You come to understanding of how twisted actually the town make it's people when the first thing you think of "hey, I could kill this guy" and then "do you want me to kidnap you a child..?" and "I can kill him (2)". Like you do not even notice it how crazy you end up.

I was watching someone else stream and this family drama with your crazy kids was happening in the background. I was born there around the same time. My mom was Dan II and I was Emily II (Gen 13), killed by Dan XIII. Very nice village, been born there multiple times now. This is still my first week. Love the game.

@@ethangold6936 Wouldn't be impossible given how people play along with some things. Best bet would likely be to start the cult in a developed town and start an enclave on the outskirts with a library of "Sacred texts", which included the solid info for people like ranks and core rituals so that even if the chaos kinda scattered the people it would have a written form to go back to rather than rellying on oral tradition. But focusing on an oral tradition for a cult would be risky, as would starting small since if you say start from one eve just a few people breaking the cycle of tradition or forgetting to pass on a ritual would kill it off. Generally you'd wan the elders(Due to large text limit) to be near the nursery of young cultists giving lessons of whats expected of them prior to them growing up and joining the labor force, so they'd know what to expect and would heave the option of escaping if need be-and also so they could know who has enforcer status.

In one of my lives I set off on a mission to follow the bell and discover the bell town city. It might have been the one you’re in right now. I needed up getting killed by a snake, and it was too far away for me to make it there before dyeing of old age.

This video is amazing lol... such a crazy story from beginning to end! It's like some sort of Shakespearean tragedy :P You couldn't have scripted this much better than it played out :) And in the end the daughter didn't actually wind up being guilty of killing anyone.
