I can VOUCH for "losing hair" and "WAY underweight" -- as a HUMAN! I had twins and I looked JUST LIKE Bella Rose after the c-section. I ate well, walked, and did everything right during pregnancy. Sorry you have to deal with judgment as a breeder, but this video will help, hopefully. I always learn something when I watch your stuff. ONWARD! 💜

Praise the Lord!!! We have the same issue here in NM. The Vet I've used forever closed the emergency room due to lack of Dr's . Very scary if you have an emergency. So glad Bella is OK. We know she will be lookin good in no time.

I've seen a few times that people freeze cabbage leaves and sit them on the teats and it's relieves some of the pain and it helps with swelling. I think it's because it's cold. It's just a nice thing to do for mastitis

Glad that Bella Rose is better and on her way to recovery! This is just a behind the scenes look at problems that do arise whether it be dogs, dairy cattle, or other animals and informs people that things are not always sunshine and rainbows in the kennels or on the farm! Many hours go into caring for the animals that a lot of people do not even realize and there are many sleepless nights where animals are the business! It would be nice if myself and some of the people who support your channel were neighbors and close enough to lend a hand when help was needed but then you would probably have the problem of too much help lol!😄👍

Glad to hear that Bella Rose is doing better now. She'll be her beautiful self in no-time, I'm sure. I get these judgemental looks all the time throughout the year. My dog has a shedload of allergies - pollen, food, you name it - and looks like a "mangy mutt" at the worst of it because sadly she's also shown reactions to a lot of the medications that my vet tried over the first few years (my dog is 12 now). So now it's grain free and gluten free foods, no beef, no poultry, very limited fish, and we just have to deal with the rest as it comes and goes throughout the seasons.

So happy to hear Bella Rose is getting better. Not surprised with the wonderful owner that she has. Mastitis is a painful condition regardless what type of animal they are, even humans. I can relate and I am so happy that it is all work out. Rachel thank you so much for the update. You sound tired try to get some rest my dear. God Bless

I can definitely agree and understand people who don’t breed dogs, especially large breeds, cause I used to breed shepherds how much a large litter can really do to a female. They really just take so much from their mamas and the bodies naturally, you know want topreserve the offspring so it will give as much as possible can to those babies. And where has the time gone? I feel like I just watch videos of Smurf being just a young rambunctious pup and she your mama now.

I was in the same boat as you. 13 pups and they were sucking my baby girl dry. So i started weaning early at 3 weeks to, formula and kibble mix during the day and at night i split them into 3 groups and each group got 30-40mins. They're almost 6 weeks now and im just glad all 13 are still up and running

Here in Syracuse NY you have to drive a few hours to any emergency vet, and you have to call before going to make sure their open because more than half the time they arent! its so scary!!

Yes, Females losing their hair is more startling when it's a Golden Retriever that has long hair opposed to a female Corso that has short hair. My Mom-well known breeder always had pictures of the females before pregnancy with their full coat. Mastitis is scary, my first encounter was traumatic, I never experienced it with my Mom's females. My Corso girl had it at worse time 2020 with all Vets on restricted hours. My ER Vet was 35 mins away and needed to take a major highway to get to it. My Girl had a uterus infection the week before her mastitis so lucky I had already been there. First day at ER was 12 hrs, never nursed puppies in back of SUV before. So when her fever was scary at midnight, we were driving at almost double the highway speed to get her there while I was on the phone with them, she was the priority when I arrived. They got her fever down, it was bad, since I already had appointment with my Vet that day they allowed her to come home, only for it to burst 1/2 hr before her appointment it was difficult to wrap her, get her in the SUV, short drive, Vet came running out, she was in ER surgery. She survived, had to wear bodysuits so puppies wouldn't rip her stitches. 3 weeks old puppies, all work was on me to feed them, keep her away, as it took over 2 weeks for her stitches to heal.
