I played this first with my girlfriend (both of us suffer with various mental health issues) and it was definitely a good experience; I love these kinds of meta/artform games, and I'm so glad you two managed to get a hold of it. Good video, 10/8 clocks

The gameplay felt a little lackluster but the depression and anxiety themes were fairly accurate in certain aspects.

Oof super hard portrayal of depression all throughout. Being unable to reach out, feeling like you have no power (when it kept asking if they liked the level, their choice was restricted and ultimately didn't matter), constant hammering in of meaningless and pointlessness. Big oof.

This game is actually quite amazing. It's almost like a immersive experience into mental illness. I've struggled with plenty mental illness, and I can see why the dev made the choices he did. It's as if he is the outside world, saying simple things like "Just leave." "Just have fun." But the player realizes it isn't that simple. And the part where you go to school and what not, every day things can be terrifying. The part where you find a safe place, it's ruined. And the text is very reminiscent of what people who don't understand say, and your intrusive thoughts. And you can never ask for help. But you survive in the end by getting help. This is pretty genius. I enjoyed it a lot.

I wasn't expecting the games atmosphere and psychological aspects to be so well designed. The guy who made it really put a lot of effort into creating a genuine sense of anxiety.

This game was neat. To anyone looking to play something similar, I recommend The Beginners Guide. It feels a bit more polished but i guess that comes at a literal price. Good playthrough though, keep it up clock boys :3

As someone who suffers from depression and anxiety and I have unfortunately thought about ending my life on numerous occasions, this game made me feel something. I felt as though I connected to it and understood it. I think this game was a lot more meaningful then Tom and Simon made it out to be but then again that isn't a problem at all.

I think a playthrough of The Beginners Guide with these two beautiful boys would be enjoyable since Tom and Simon have the whole Riddle Bros thing going and have the ability to absorb a story as well as be funny at the same time. I started thinking that after they played Gods Basement and Until Dawn. Feel like that would be a pretty good game for this channel. Well... That is unless they know the ending to the Beginners Guide already. Kind of ruins it, huh? God I love watching people play that though...

i feel like the purpose of life is survival. not one of the options in the game, but. this also means whenever i'm not dying i am fulfilling my purpose in life. it kind of deminishes what the game was trying to do, as it says that the hard earned money, fame and so one fades away, it has no long term purpose, without thinking about the short term purpose, which in turn helps survival and prospering within that.

So, I've dealt with depression for a few years now. I've never been on the verge of suicide, but I've given it thought many times. I have mild anxiety, but not terrible. That being said, most of this game was just confusing to me. It wasn't really triggering in any way. I'd like to get a little poll going and see what other people think. This is NOT the end of the game. There are 3 walkthroughs through this game! There's a second (mostly the same until the end) and a third one (very different). If you get the third walkthrough a very satisfying ending will happen what might end up in a tear

IMO the game is okay. The self-isolating "I'm fine, please just go away" feeling of the beginning is quite accurate, followed by the irritation as someone pushes forward.
