@@iamtheiamweareallone well yes I think we will choose the flesh sometimes. I guess coming from a Christian theological perspective. The flesh is always lacking and weak, and cannot do good. The idea being too focused on the spirit and pray that our actions and desires be guided by the spirit.it’s a strange situation being a human! I think some spiritual teachings would have people deny their flesh completely. And others I guess like an atheist or a humanist would focus on the flesh only. But it’s true that we are of both and while we are here on this earth, that’s just the way it is.

I'm an experienced meditator but never tried Vipassana. Is that where you sit with your eyes half shut?

@@seane.9937 No. It's the practice that's a 1000 years older then Buddha and what brought him enlightenment. The Vipassana course is 10 days of silence and 7 hours a day of full body meditation.

@@kazandraschellenger5505I sleep in an isolation chamber “whisperbooth” I feel like those are super helpful for helping you “tune in” in general too. After a while you lose directionality and can only be with your thoughts. I love it cause our nervous system is always under fire from noises and stuff and when you can close that off it’s like stillness at the core and you can access that easily once you’ve been there enough

@@seane.9937 this is the one I basically do , I start with eyes wide open in peripheral vision until my eyes want to basically close themselves , you have to find the one that works for you it’s as simple as that.

@SicMundus7 I disagree. In 2016 I was homeless, kicking methadone and xannex. I prayed out loud for god to take away the pain and anxiety. Instantly, the pain and anxiety went away. And then my lost butt said prove that was you! Right then a bird, butterfly, and a 🪰 flew right past my head. Then a jet flew over then behind the jet was a face in the cloud w a beard and long hair. Then after those 5 signs I couldn't handle it so I looked right. There was a person in white walking towards me. And I looked left and there were a bunch of ants. Then god said, I am all around you. I am the trees, birds, ants, I am everything. I'm telling ya, getting sober is key to not having a lost life because when you are sober god really takes over and you just holding on for the ride! It is amazing!
