I just read Suzanne's book, "Keeping Secrets." What a brave, strong, courageous woman. I grew up with an alcoholic father, and can relate in too, too many ways. I'm 76 yrs old, have a very ill alcoholic daughter and still don't know how to deal with any of it. Suzanne's openess and brutal honesty has put into words the things I haven't been able to look at and identify. RIP Suzanne, you will not be forgotten. Thank you.

Suzanne was extremely smart! Her father makes me so angry he’s an alcoholic who was controlling,weak, abusing the family. Suzanne went so far with her successful life and she laughed all the way to bank!! As well deserved, hard work pays off. A college degree is not always the success for many people. She turned out to be so much more than a degree could have ever taken her. She had the vision, a great life partner in Alan who supported her. The bones of what an entrepreneur is all about. I was listing to Howard Stern interview with BarbaraStreisand who was also verbally abused by her mother. A controlling jealous mother. And look at the great success she had. Lots of counseling sessions and believing in your dreams, building up your own self worth. Times builds on age and maturity. I love how Suzanne’s channel is honest, straight forward and supports being your best and looking your best no matter what the situation is ❤

My Dad always said demeaning and hurtful things to me as I was growing up and I carried these thoughts with me through adult hood. It took decades of therapy to learn that what he said were his own pitiful feelings about himself. I learned to realize it was not about me but about my Dad. The sad part is that those words that my Dad said about me all those years kept resonating like an old record playing. It is still hard to listen to that recording but now I am able to say outloud that none of it is true. Suzanne grew to be the most loved and loving person the world ever knew. Actually, God graced her and as a result, a very loving women evolved. ❤

I taught my ONLY SON......the bits on the bottom of the pan are most important ! Was that parsley Alan......looked like Italian parsley. You're so lucky to have such a beautiful, healthy garden. I know Suzanne loved having it so near, I watched her cook and send you out to the garden for some herbs.💜 That's exactly what I do at the end of every week, toss everything in a big pan, make pasta, it's always a hit! For those of us who only knew Suzanne through the years on television and through her books, find it so hard to believe she is gone. There isn't another celebrity I can think of who spoke the truth or lived her truth. Alan, your bringing up "Keeping Secrets" reminds me how shocked I felt when I read about her father and shared it with tge world. And what a great title for her book, I had been keeping the same secret for years. After all, what would people think of me if they found out my family's big secret. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I just bought the black cherry, myers lemon olive oil and tuscany seasoning. I made a simple butter leaf salad and the combination of the three was delicious. Butter lettuce has many health benefits. Have to get the sets and try them all.

I rarely make comments about “stars” that I’ve admired but there was something so special about Suzanne. She had this way of making everyone feel engaged. Like she was just speaking directly to you. And I love that she had balls. The balls to take on big Pharma and introduce the world to “other” ways to get medicinal care. Especially Eastern medicine. Cancer as well as many other diseases are BIG money makers. This is coming from someone who suffers from four autoimmune diseases and will probably need a Liver transplant. On a less serious side I remember when Suzanne had her talk show and she was doing this segment about a Brussel sprout dish. All I know is that I was starting to really enjoy cooking. She had me at bacon. I was never a fan of Brussels sprouts but I now love them and I loved her and she will truly be missed. ❤️

It’s because Suzanne WASN’T a “Celebrity” to us she was a GENUINE FRIEND and she made us feel that way!! When you guys talks about your feelings changing so often, that’s ABSOLUTELY how Grief works - all the books about the so-called Stages of Grief don’t tell you that you will often experience ALL THE STAGES WITHIN THE SAME 10 MINUTES!! Grief is NOT LINEAR and don’t let anyone tell you how LONG you “should” grieve or when you should be “over it”!! Know that you will NEVER, EVER be the Same Person you were with Suzanne - that “You” is Gone with Suzanne and that’s not who the “new” or “recovered” YOU will be so don’t look for that. Just give yourself the Gift of TIME and you’ll discover who you will be and how you’ll exist in this ALTERED world. Her Love and Light will continue to guide you all her beloved Family! 🙏😇❤️❤️❤️
