If you want your ceiling to be light and uplifting, so you don’t feel like you’re in a box, here’s a tip for you. Add a little tiny bit of blue in your white paint… Make sure there is no green at all in it! This gives the illusion of the ceiling went up and up and up. It would be beautiful on your second floor, because you have all that window and view of the sky. you won’t notice the blue. It will look like a white ceiling, but it will give the illusion of being higher than it is.

With all the board processing you guys and Jordan and Kaylee are doing, you should go in on a router table where the router is fixed upside down on the underside of the table. That way you just push the boards through, much faster. There are even plans to build your own router table from plywood.

Maybe finish the kitchen ceiling as well as floor next and dining room ^^It looks so nice so good work !!

You guys need a work shop, a place to store your wood and and tools. Somewhere you can work when the weather is bad. A large tent with sides you can flap Dow when it rains or is very windy

When we first got married, my husband made a couch out of 2x6s. I then bought foam pieces and my mother and I covered them. It worked very well.

Enlarge the groove on your ceiling boards to allow for the room the paint will take up. Even if just 1mm larger and they will fit together easier. Jordan did this in the sauna and can explain it better than I can.

If you intend to paint the entire ceiling white, an alternative could be to use plywood and mill a v groove. Will look like you have planks but be a little simpler.

Why don't you use your old shed/workshop/mini-house as a workshop where you can prepare the wood?

Love your channel. I've seen other channels build sofas and use thick memory foam for cushions. They look unique and can be custom sized to your space. Also if the sell them there. Pop up shelters work great for when u have iffy weather or just to work in shade. They aren't expensive here in us but not sure if available there.

To bad you don’t have a workshop on Lola’s Farm! Seriously though, you and the NM should team up and build a really big awning or “work” port roofed area. It will allow a huge, covered work space for projects now, and a great space for parties and events later! You would probably want to build this later, but doing it now could be more efficient in the long run

Hey guys, I know you don’t want too much wood but they make wood switch plate covers that might look more organic. If you want to stick with white covers, they make “jumbo” plate covers that would cover that plug that had gaps/recessed. Ceiling looks good, you can always lightly sand it to make it look distressed down the road. Keep it up, your persistent energy has been inspiring me to tackle more jobs around the house.

Wonderful Job Rodrigo & Freddie ! I am just wondering since you did not use any insulation in between floors/ceiling, is it too loud when someone walks up on the 2nd floor? ...just wondering Love the wood on the ceiling but just a reminder that wood is a "sound carrier" and not a sound barrier ... Also wood spands and contracts with minimal of weather changes. I would have used sheetrock (but that is just me) still love what you guys are doing

Your both doing so well, you going to get there…… Just a thought on the cladding…. Why not use the white boards that you put on the ceiling for the next section of the wall, where the stairs start….. It could go up and over the ceiling downstairs and upstairs, creating a break from the wood and will visually open and brighten the central part of your home. Almost a gallery space within your home.

White for the ceiling was perfect it will help brighten up the room and gives a great contrast to teh wood toned walls.
