nope kyokushin is not a sport. if your talking about sport then maybe shotokan is the karate that you are mentioning

OSU, He/she said something like: Kyokushin Karate is a life of sacrifice, devotion and tenacity that the Karateka is trying to achieve during his life. The Karateka is also trying to achieve wisdom and power and thus he understands the philosophy of life. I think it's not translatet 100 percently correct but something like this he/she wanted to say. Hope I could help. :) And btw: My English and my Spanish aren't that good, my first language ist german. ^^ OSU

I wonder what came first, Fighter in the Wind or the Rock Bottom? I find it a bit sad that he just walked away from the others at the end, if Oyama actually did that it might give some indication of why there's such rifts in the martial arts communities...MA is a big disfunctional family.

Mike Kyok kyokushin fighters do not go around looking for fights, it is not the kyokushin way. If that's how you feel you are not a true kyokushin fighter. To possess such power from this art you should be humble towards others due to the fact you can really hurt them. Humble yourself and strive perfection. OSU.
