Yesterday we marched. We sang our truth through our horns supporting the black community as we played our instruments LOUD 🔊 but peacefully. So many emotions. Marching next to my Late Show with Stephen Colbert fam AND NYC music fam felt comforting and powerful. Thanks for leading us Jon.

I never thought 2020 we’d be out our houses fighting for our rights but it’s amazing people like you who don’t even need to say words to spread joy.BLM ty for the support and I want you to know as long as I play my instruments I’ll always remember love and respect what you do keep up the good work much love.

I totally adore Jon Batiste, and the music was phenomenal! It was the feel of second line in New Orleans meets soulful protest. That's said, Way, WAY too many non-musicians either weren't wearing masks or had them around their neck. And even though it can be hard to tell on video, when you see people shoulder to shoulder it's not hard to say there's a lack of social distancing as well.I really wish they had appointed some people to basically police the idiots. Unless people are careful, aside from getting sick (which should be enough), Cities will shut all this down. And that would be such a shame.
