Necessary measure in UP. It had remaind the "wild west" of India for far too long. Only "fear" of law can bring about "rule" of law in such places.

My father served in the UP cadre as an IPS officer. He retired in 2021 as Director General (DG) Vigilance. He was a 1988 batch IPS officer. In my humble opinion IPS is the toughest service amongst all the services, when it comes to UP and Bihar. Kudos to all the IPS officers!

UP was a backward and a crime hub during akhilesh specially as he nurtured criminals so now if police is being strict its showing results on the ground as not even a single hindu Muslim riots. State has a long way to go to match levels of Maharashtra but we as people love this approach as we feel more safe and businesses too. People chose baba for the second time and security was one thing too

Still will remain under yogi. 15 years ago people were praising akhilesh, today they say the same about Yogi. 15 years from today it willl be some other loser. The law and ordr will never improve as long as they rely on extra-judicial killings.

@@greenrico10 15 years ago maywati and mulayam ruled UP so people thought akhilesh will bring a change but he did nothing for law and order that's why in 2014 muzaffarnagar riots happened and akhilesh was enjoying in safai. Judicial killing is important as crime only reduces where society grows and develops or there is fear in people.. unfortunately UP will not grow or devolpment will happen in next 20 years as it's huge and has population of paksitan including Evey religion so fear of being killed is what's helping law and oder

Yes sir, you are given arms with a purpose and that is certainly not for decoration. You are saddled with certain responsibilities to safeguard human values and human life. Question is why people are killed even when they are under custody and so police protection?
