Devastator Of course to a purist of the genre every song within the Nu metal genre is shite. De gustibus non disputandum est ("Personal preferences are not to be judged"). I am a purist myself, but not in music: for instance, when I hear of people all over the world cooking pasta wrong (actually non just 'wrong', but in the really fucking opposite ways), it kind of grinds my gears. Linkin Park were my favourite in overall up until 2010: I still find that the music sounds right, the rhythm is rather good, the lyrics are in most cases profound, the themes are relatable... I like this. Crawling, as well as Breaking the habit, Papercut, A place for my head, The catalyst, Bleed it out, Hit the floor, and many more always give me goosebumps. To my mind, that's enough to consider them number ones, Chester at least in the first place: he suffered many things in his early years, kicked his drugs habits more than once (if it's good...?), yet succeeded in turning all of this into lyrics, finding a way to get rid of the feelings by processing the emotions into controlled but somewhat harmonic screams. FYI: I don't quite like Numb, In The End is not my favourite and I keep talking shite of the latest albums.

He's not completely free of the disease apparently. It just stopped spreading I think and it can come back. Even if he survives against all odds, his life expectancy is significantly reduced
