Melchizedek met Abraham in Genesis after an important battle to rescue his nephew, Lot, and Abraham gave Melchizedek 10% of all his spoils of victory. He was the High Priest for Abraham, the Father of the faithful, and in the New Covenant today, he is our High Priest, and we are all his priests to do priestly duties.
