I'm too old to farm. NOT too old to watch! I love the drone shot of the disc work. Wow, farming!! Today is Friday, March 1st, Why not test both nozzles at the shop to see which one you like? I think the "spray" nozzle will work best. AH HA, the easiest (not easy) disc bearing to replace. You know it could have been the one on the outside end. Dad says, "you're not ready 'til you're ready" & Dad is always right.

Always something to work on. A quick tip,set the wrench end in the ground and lower the disc. Or a come-along works too.

Danial, you cracked me up dancing on that pipe wrench. I did notice a peculiar cant on that handle when the cheater bar was removed. My father-in-law always used to say HAMMER when nothing else worked. you have made my Friday gentlemen, I know it wasn't funny to all of you though.

These newer semis are a pain in the ass. Always something breaking down or a dam code. Fertilizer rig is coming coming along nicely. Nothing like working on a disk . Have a great week guys and stay safe.

I prefer the streamer nozzles for fertilizer only because they will not plug as easily and the fertilizer will not get tied up in the soil as fast. The more fertilizer is broken up it has more soil contact. The more soil contact it has the more the soil ties it up. If you are applying chemicals with fertilizer then you need to use the flat fan nozzles for uniform coverage. Happy farming!

Hey Daniel, The main reason you're having so much bearing trouble is that you put waaay to much grease. We put maybe two shots in each morning before starting. When the grease runs out the bearings and that dirt get in and become sandpaper. You don't want the grease to come out the bearings. Try it

I agree 2-3 pumps in big sealed bearings and we do it 1 - 2 a season and I never have the bearings fail on our disks.

I like to grease the bearings before unhooking after last use also. I agree on the 2 shot limit on disk bearings. I didn't see the type grease you are using but never use moly grease on any bearing. The moly will take a bearing out!!

I swear I can’t put a face to a name, and I’ve been watching for a couple of years. Maybe you could do a cameo with names in the intro or something? Make sure your dad has his big grin he always has! Don’t forget about Lucy.😎👍 by the way, that noise I told you about under my truck was not the transmission or the parking brakes. I was having the tranny seal replaced and the mechanic noticed my yoke was pulled out of the tranny. Turns out the rear driveshaft was not sliding on the splines. They cleaned it up and put a lot of anti seize on it and so far it’s working good.

Daniel, are you going to be running UAN through those cast and brass fittings? How long do you expect to run them before they corrode up too bad? I’ve never had any luck using those with fertilizer.
