The outline of a generational player is coming into form now. He can get his own shot at all 3 levels of the court at a high level, can rebound, can create for others, is learning to break down defensive coverages and beat doubles with his playmaking, can punish in transition, can play elite on-ball defense, can serve as a weak side rim protector, can draw a ton of fouls, and is an absolutely killer closer on both ends of the floor. In a sweep, the Timberwolves played a team with KD, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, and he was unambiguously the best player on the court. He’s already putting all of that together as a 22 year old high-volume shooting guard, on the biggest stage of his career, on one of the best teams in basketball.

It's interesting to see how they promote the next big star as the "next Michael Jordan," especially now that LeBron is nearing retirement. They're clearly looking for a new face for the league. While the player in question is talented, claiming he's at Jordan's level might be an overreach.

I like him, but Mj was pure elegance, I really can not imagine somebody more elegant than Jordan, he had the looks, the hands, graceful, he had the control over his body like nobody else ( proprioceptive depth sensitivity), anticipation, the most complete athlete, doesn't matter how many times someone says LeBron is better, Russel has more championships, etc. It's not just how often you win, it's in which way you do it. Jordan had style, next was Kobe.
