Welcome to a new series for TriFate PH: TriFate Restaurant Hunters🐯! In this series, we are going all over Metro Manila to find the best restaurant in each City and rank it, with the ultimate goal of finding the GONAD (Greatest Offical National Award of Duck)
For the first episode we are sticking to where we live, Quezon City as we head to the South Triangle to try a restaurant named Tablo! This was one of our most requested restaurants when we first got to the Philippines and it's finally time to try it for Quezon City's selection of the GONAD!

In Marikina try Mang Ding's. It serves local grilled meat and fish. I want Isaac to try their Bangus overload coz I know he likes bangus. It's also within your budget. Aside from the bangus, my favorite menu item there is their fried chicken. It's addictive.

Try Qizia. To get there, you have to go through the ER area of SDS Hospital. Good food at affordable prices. Always packed. In Marikina City. Also try Krung Thai in Marikina. Try Cafe Juanita in Pasig City.

Yes the location is remote. Target market is those who have their own cars. On dinner time that place is packed really packed that youll have to wait for more than an hour.

Should you come back to South Triangle area, there's another resto just maybe a few mins walk away from Tablo, the resto's name is Borro. It's also a Filipino fusion resto that's comparable with Tablo.

wondering what made yall stay in Quezon City lol. Y'all need to go to Antipolo and visit some cafes overlooking the manila skyline during sunset! That would make for a nice vlog!

Honestly, Antipolo falls short in several aspects. If the rating for Tablo was indicative (which is really good and honest 👍), it's likely that the cafes and restaurants there wouldn't fare well either, and will definitely lower, offering only basic food, drinks and services (I remembered there are many times I had eaten a reheated taste like food in several restos and cafes in that city), it is hardly reaching a good rated standard. Getting around in the area is inconvenient, with cafes and restaurants difficult to commute to, and tricycle drivers often overcharging visitors. Additionally, the city's structures appear unmaintained, lacking the typical charm one would expect from a prominent city. The best example of expectation vs. reality. masasaktan ka lang pag dinala mo sila sa overrated na Antipolo. lols.
