Sadie Lincoln, co-founder + CEO of barre3, shares some perspective on movement and togetherness in Portland and just being aware of your body as well as the benefits of connectedness of moving together in a group. One of my top Portland moments years ago was attending a public barre3 event that Sadie led - with nearly 1,000 Portlanders in Field Park in the Pearl District - so much great energy. Sadie talks about the neuroscience of group exercise that elevates connectedness, belonging, community, and joy. Sadie just recently won EY Entrepreneur of the Year for the mountain west and her acceptance speech focused on the incredible community of supporting over 100 women entrepreneurs (100% of barre3's franchise owners are women). She continues to be an inspiration and mentor to women entrepreneurs in Portland and throughout the country!
