@@stagehazed yeah unfortunately the RTX 3050 is weaker and less ram. I was looking at the MSI laptop with RTX 3050, did some research I read the GTX 1660 Ti is like the desktop version when OC. But I think the RTX 3050 mobile is little better than the GTX 1650 laptop.

5:33 Not CPU bound , you guys did show earlier that it has "1 of 1" sodimm slot in task manager, the Single Channel performamce is hurting it, so more Memory Bound.

I don't know about this laptop. But I swoop a HP Pavilion 15 last black friday for less then 600 dollars. Have yet to encounter any issues with any games running poorly what so ever. It has a 10th gen I5, an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1650, 16 gb ram, and really good ventilation for a laptop. There's not a single game I've played that can't run at max settings or medium/ max custom settings. I predominantly use it as a monster emulation console. But I have downloaded and tried titles like Fortnite and Geshin impact and had no issues running the games in high/medium settings. I've played other games like FF7 remake and FF15 at max settings no problem aswell. Laptop is a God for less then $600

For those who have a microcenter close by, you could get a Ryzen 7 5800h, rtx 3050, 16gb ram, and 512 ssd. Its for the price of $800. At times it's even lower.

Exactly! Much better performance for just a few hundred more (or less) for better "specs"! I'm a "casual" gamer and I have a Ryzen 7 5700G paired with a RTX 3060 and 32GB of Corsair 3800MHz DDR4 ram and "plays" really well @ 1080P with maximum settings with a moderate "overclock" on the CPU and have no air-cooling issues with the CPU.

I bought MacBook Air m2 512gb for $1300 on Black Friday week saved me $200 I'm loving it I have 67w fast charger the baby charges 30 mins from 30% battery to 100% battery without being plug in I get around 5-6 hours battery. Screen is amazing.

I think the cheapest rtx 3080 laptop that I've seen is a strix 15 g533 which comes with 1tb SSD, 16gigs of ram, Ryzen 9 as the cpu. It's a 15.6 display and is retailing for 1,999.99 on the best buy app.

Is this same laptop with the same CPU but with an RTX 3050 much better? I found the laptop for 799$ and another one with i5 10300H paired up with GTX 1650 for 799$ too. Isn't the RTX one a better deal?

Apex is hard to play on a laptop, I had to learn that the hard way. Screen size at 15.6" even with my glasses is just hard to see people.

I did buy a laptop with a "1 of 1" channel RAM, but I took it apart and there was another slot. Installed RAM and it worked just fine!

Can you try Fortnite on at least medium settings. It can look really nice when the video setting is right. And a device like this can run those settings, it should run 60+ ish.

Lenovo laptops are awesome. This is nothing short of an amazing deal if you can find one for 600. That said, I don't do much gaming when I'm away from my main rig. I think I'd rather have a MacBook for on the go computing tasks. The durable build, cool and efficient Apple silicon, a nice clean UNIX OS, plus the battery life, and all in a really tiny package. If I'm on the go, I have better things to do than gaming.

Yes, Lenovo has really "stepped" up it's game with laptops and desktops! You can get really great specs. and performance while still keeping prices lower. Before 2years ago I never would have considered this brand but lately this brand is great!

Hum.... I do NOT think the performance is any DEAL at these prices. Once you play any of the games tested at ULTRA settings and then have to REDUCE to "medium" or lower just to get them "playable" is not my idea of a system. The GTX 1650 is an ancient card! I'd much rather spend a few hundred+ more and get something that will do AAA games at a "playable" FPS. 50FPS for Forza H. 5 is horrible with medium settings in my opinion. Also, there was no mention of CPU/GPU temps and whether or not "throttling" was taking place and noise levels of the fan(s). Some of these "budget" laptops can really make a racket when the fans are at MAX trying to cool things packed into a small area! Been there done that! I opted for a mid-tower PC this time using MUCH quieter fans and is much more "enjoyable" without the roaring fan noise. Just my opinion here - gaming on anything less than a 27" monitor just doesn't cut it! And I'm a "casual" gamer and not into the "shooter" games. I play MSFS, Forza H. 5, Dirt 5, F1, and games of this type. Plus "laptops" in general offer NO upgrade options other than memory and even that's limiting.
