It’s the 100k down that bothers me. Unless you’re REALLY committed to those 15 years, I don’t know if that’s worth it. And if the cruise operator goes belly up before then, do you get a prorated amount back? It’s a cool concept but unless I were a multi millionaire, I’d feel nervous about plucking down 100k with no assurance that I’d actually enjoy the experience for that long 😬

Your math is correct. The ship is the Villa Vie Odyssey. Friends and family will get their own cabin for $33/person per day.

Well, that’s why we’re recording it all. Obviously we believe we could do this for several years. But the reality could be different and we feel differently after a while. You never know.

I’m not sure but I think they will cap it at 10-14 days just so everybody can have friends and family visit.

I had covid on a cruise in September 2022. Unfortunately! I was in Canadian waters- so they had a 10 day quarantine. By day 4 I was losing my mind- really made me appreciate what prisoners feel like. I did have a balcony, free room service, free movies and wifi- so not exactly prison but it sucks to be in a cabin that long for sure.

We can bring our own liquor onboard. Go Haaland!!

Will this ship sail all over the world ie warmer climates too where the balcony would be beneficial over time. Depending on price I may get it for convenience sake but I know you are so close to walking outside to a fantastic view regardless …enjoy the journey.

Lol, I think you have totally misunderstood what we’re doing here. We’re spending $120/day for the two of us to travel the world. We have lodging, some drinks, all the food we can eat, house keeping, laundry etc included. Also we want to see the world and do not want a house at all. This is an investment in experiences.
