As someone who grew up playing with Sky Dancers, we absolutely launched them at one another like cretins. I don't recall ever injuring my little brother with one, but that's not to say it didn't happen! They were loads of fun. Asked my Mam, too, and she had no idea they got banned. Asked her if she ever thought they were dangerous and she said, "well aye but it kept yous quiet for a while." :)

There was one time at school when a girl I knew had one of those slap bracelets. She had tried to get it around her wrist, but turns out the plastic outside or whatever had been damaged and ripped, a piece of metal wire sticking out. It cut her wrist at the top of her arm and caused bleeding, but it could’ve been a lot worse.
