I was the exact same when I moved out of my parents house, I was really sad the night off when my parents left after helping all day, I did have a cry! I think it's completely normal. The lack-of-doorway-open feel is often considered "broken plan" as open plan would be lack of walls braking up the space and closed plan would be doors for all rooms.

Congratulations on your new home. You have done amazing in just 2 weeks. I like the fact you have used fb etc to furnish your home. So many young people want the new house with all new everything to go in it. Then they find they've got no spare funds to live and enjoy it. Just a couple of suggestions. You can get a pax wardrobe that isn't as deep to fit in the gap to match others. Put linen basket in bottom shelves for bags etc above. And now you have the corner sofa. I would move the tv to between the window and patio doors. Then no matter where you sit on sofa you won't be cricking your neck. And your dog will probably like a nice quiet cozy space of his own in the corner. Good luck with your future

The corner unit fits the space well. Could I suggest that you turn the dining table round so that a short end is against the wall. This would allow you to put chairs either side which will be more useable and a more pleasant eating experience. Visually I think it will look better. The new wardrobes were a good choice. Perhaps later you could add a single wardrobe with shelves in the remaining space to the left.

Have a look at the BA sales think starts week before Christmas…..lot cheaper if you look at February/March and maybe look at Rosen inn I’m sure you can pick up a Florida deal for the 2 of you for around £2000 plus theme park tickets! Good luck

Chloe you can go Florida cheaper than that , reality check , stay in a budget hotel off Disney , ie Rosen inns get a package with virgin and hire a car and eat away from Disney , you can get a package for 3,000 for two approximately 🥰

I watch a vlog called life with Lisa. It is a husband and wife who moved into a new build a few months ago. They have been disney enthusiasts for quite a few years and have posted a lot of videos about their travels. They now have their own travel agency and get the best deals available. You can get details and contact information under the other information part of their vlog. I don't know them personally so have no financial interest in their business. You must be excited to get your first home in times when things have become very difficult for young people. It will be a steep learning curve but take your time - and enjoy it.

Lovely new home, congrats. Disney is crazy prices. You can try booking hotel offsite and flight separately to help save money. Not quite the same as onsite but it would be miles cheaper and mean you can get your Disney fix 😀

The house is beautiful!!!! So lovely and fresh and spacious too. Have you looked at the Wyndham hotel? Right by the Springs. We’ve stayed and it’s a sister hotel and we absolutely loved it. Also, have you looked into getting Virgin credit cards? We pay for everything on them and then just move the money over from current accounts and we will have two free return seats when we next go next Feb as a result. You’re spending it anyway you may as well earn Virgin points. So so many ways of getting over there. We’ve learned so much. Do you follow The Lodge Guys? If you don’t, do, and go for their earlier vlogs and they do a few about how they get over there so often. My husband is the master of research! Anyway so pleased you’re all settled it’s amazing. Xx

That's more expensive than our whole 9 week trip to the USA with Dinseyland Anaheim at the end once we get to Los Angeles. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! 😱

My son booked an 11 night stay flying Virgin, Rosen Inn for September for £850. They got 4 day Disney from Undercover tourist and Universal tickets from Tripadvisor. This was booked with Boxing Day/new year sale, Dockside at Unuversal was slightly more.
