Haha, the sliding pin @9:45. 🤣 Been there, done that. I once had the 4 & 7 bounce around in the flat gutter, one of them bounced back out, stood up & slid to the 5-pin spot. It was a beautiful strike shot too...every pin down, then there's a f'ing 5 pin, lol.

I know how being a competitor and perfectionist can take a toll on the mental game especially when you are playing at a lower tier and do worst. In saying that though, darren, jesse and the whole house of bowling gang inspire me to be a better bowler and have some fun getting better! Vegas was home for me before i joined up so it sucks that i can't catch you guys in person, love you guys!

Darren I can relate on somehow struggling on a league pattern. I did tournaments with much tougher patterns then house and bowled great and made my spares with no issue. Then the next think I know it I limp to over 600

Agree w other comment, a "entry" ball only night would be fun (hustles, burners, maybe hyped or tropical). Also wouldn't a hustle camo for example combat Darrens problem he address' @ 16:30 mark? Because of his rev's he has to move left way more and faster putting him in the "not right" area for the league lanes. I have no where near Darrens talent, but I ball down so I can roll it near 10-15 arrow in league all night.

You should make a video explaining what type of balls to throw on ICE. The center I bowl at has switched to this oil and it would be nice to know from a professional the type of balls he suggests be thrown on ICE.

I don't know anything about bowling, but I do know a lot about physics. Higher RPM's (that opposes forward motion) will increase random variance in ball displacement. For, every time there is a slight deviation in oil thickness, it changes the co-efficient of friction. Consequently, with more "side spin," you will have a higher frequency of nearly "chaotic behavior." Again, I don't know ANYTHING about bowling. So, I'm probably incorrect in what I'm about to postulate: But, I would have thought you'd want to roll the ball with the most mass, with as high as velocity as possible (while maintaining proper accuracy), and with the MINIMUM amount of side-spin required for ideal ball & pin pathing. (I know rolling it straight isn't ideal, as it doesn't help the pins spread after contact.) There HAS TO BE diminishing returns from side-spin when it is inducing chaotic behavior. Idk...

I suck throwing plastic at my spares. (also 2 hander) I throw plastic at my 10 pins ALWAYS. my other spares it depends. I plan on using this summer to practice using plastic on all spares. Missed a 4-7 last night on a sport shot league.... Super fun.

I throw anything from a motiv venom shock 14lbs all the way down to a 10 lb hammer raw. All depends on what u know. Light weight balls can spit much harder but my go to strike balls are all 16lbs

19:40 ish, that's bout how i play chess. of course after i learned how to play and use all the pieces when i was 3-5 years old my oldman taught me how to play and we'd play vs each other. by the time i got to 4th grade i believe, our maths/science/something else teacher decided to integrate chess into our class. our elementary portion of the school I went to (private college prep school pre-k through 12th grade) would assign teachers to teach multiple subjects. then in middle school we'd start having 6 classes and 1 period for lunch stayed that way all through highschool. so one hour periods for 6 classes, 15 min break in the morning, 1 hour lunch (split into 3 different lunch periods so we didn't all go at once) and then our last period, last 2, or last 3 periods. anyways back to the elementary class that had chess tournament into it, the teacher was also the JV soccer team coach. for some reason, he had it out for me and my two friends. which ironically, first place would always be one of us 3, mainly me or david. tyler would sometimes beat david but for some reason could never snag a win off me. one day, i didn't have anyone to play due to absences, so i said to the teacher "why don't we play?" - well we did... let's just say he hated me even more afterwards because he had to write me a tardiness note for my next class since he was taking FOREVER for each turn and i would already have my next 5-6 turns picked out depending on what he'd do... so it genuinely pissed him off when he lost... i didn't tell him how i've been playing chess since 3 years old. he thought i learned how to play in that grade with everyone else lol...

For me it is rare for me to hook at the spares. If I know I can get it by throwing straight at it then I throw straight , if I know I need a little hook I hook at it with a little up the back of the ball with speed.
