Has anyone else noticed that whenever MD says he and Matt are off to the pub for lunch and when they get back they’ll do such and such, and then it cuts to MD saying “Right, so it’s the next day”? 😂😂😂 . Another awesome tank, can’t wait to see the new studio full of finished aquariums.

I always laugh when MD and Matt say "Flo is here". In Canada when you say that or " Aunt Flo is visiting next week" it's code for your period. So it always sounds like the boys are discussing their cycles syncing up lol

I am Australian! Rainbowfish actually live in creeks mostly, and they hang around the roots in the banks- usually with gudgeons (they are good friends). One area they are from locally has tons of vallisneria. I don't think I've ever seen them in lakes, we don't rlly have that many to begin with. Definitely creek/river fish. Beautiful tank, beautiful fish!

Australian here, Australian Rainbows are predominantly in creeks in my experience and the creeks I’ve caught them in had limited aquatic predators. So they were out in the open, but when skittish they did hide near the banks and root systems. Scape looks great as always guys!!

MD: It doesn't have to be perfect...we can just pile them up. Also MD: Matt, move that a centimeter to the right, will you? 😂😂

As a Rainbow fish psycho, this was fun to watch. Keep in mind, rainbows are actually QUITE fast swimmers, many of the species come from creeks and river systems, especially the Australian ones. One thing I will highly caution you on is the final small twiggy branches that were added. Rainbows aren't super smart, and when the spare and court, they pay zero attention to their surroundings, so those twiggy branches can be a recipe for injuries. Just a heads up! Otherwise love the overall design!

Hey gents. I live in the Northern Territory and we have rainbow fish everywhere in the wild around here. From billabongs to streams and creeks. The structure is very similar to what the rainbow fish (and others) congrate around in the wild. Well done

Honestly, if you had stopped on the hardscape it would be already one of your best builds so far. The plants added a nice touch, but I honestly LOVED the hardscape by itself. It remembers so much the rivers on Banff (Canada - Alberta).

MD and Matt are friendship goals. I don't have friends that nerd out quite as hard to the stuff I nerd out about.

I really love the longer videos, more in depth or getting to know the thought process this way. Can't wait for the next aquarium to be build.

I've been part of several fish clubs and I've never met a friend with the same interests that would come over and enjoy helping me scape a tank. You are a very lucky person to have such a friend in Matt.

Turned out great! Wasn't sure in the first place about the big lump of wood in it. After the plants did come in it looked fabulous. Really like the adding of the leaves, really makes everything come together.

Boesmani will breed in the mop. Leave it in for a week then take it out. Should result in lots of eggs. Fry are tiny though so its infusoria for some days until they take micro worm / artemia. I have done that with micro dried food, but i suspect live foods would result in better survival rate. After the first week or two they are easy.

You and Matt are hilarious, such giggling school girls but we love you. We are ADHD so we totally get you. FOCUS! Wish we could visit your shop. We are in Colorado. Maybe someday. Your scapes are bold and creative. I am taking notes. You have reinforced what I already knew, women (your wife) are better at organizing. LOL. Best to you on your new show room. You may already have this elsewhere, perhaps for patrons, but I would totally vibe to hours' long videos of your various fish tanks. With the post-covid increase of people working from home I have to imagine there's loads of people who have a monitor dedicated to background viewing whilst working, and I would watch hours of just your fish tanks. If you're like me and you take needlessly excessive video of your fish you could put that footage to good use! Love the content.

Such a beautiful scape. I'm looking forward to watching this one develop over time. I really like the bundle of plants plunked on top of the wood, because as Matt said, that's how they would grow in the wild. In my personal opinion, the more "wild" an aquascape looks, the better it is. Like, I love artistic scapes, especially ones based on landscapes from fantasy films, but the natural looking ones that you do will always be my favorite.

I watch for the scapes you do but when Matt turns up Both your expertise in what you both know is the finishing touch to beautiful tanks . Keep it up😊

What an awesome tank! I started keeping aquariums in like 1970/71, at the age of 10 or 11, and after a huge break of decades I'm getting back into the hobby. I'm going to be setting up a nano reef tank, but I can already see that I'm probably also going to have a planted, freshwater tank addiction happening, too. What a fantastic channel.
