This hunt was on a pond that has produced for us in the past. We scouted it the night before and it was completely frozen. I broke open a decent sized hole and then put an Ice Ripper in the pond to run over night. We came back to hunt the pond the next afternoon and it was an awesome duck hunt.

That was a nice hunt man. I think about just sitting back and filming the birds come in sometimes but we just haven’t had that many the last few years so it’s tuff not to pull up and shoot when they come.

I’m a hunter and man I love your hunts. One thing I do personally is when I retrieve a shot bird and it is still alive I’ll normally cut its throat immediately because one it drains the blood from its body and 2 if it’s still alive I cut it’s throat to allow it to die immediately.

Up north, some of our best hunts are when all the big water freezes up and forces the migrations into the tiny pockets of open water. It's a riot!

Typically people group hunt but swear that they don't. The fact that you're asking means you've never "been there". You really do not want to be that guy who insists that I shot THAT DUCK and it goes on my strap. Just don't even try.
