2 years ago on the 4th of July I put my hand threw a window cut an artery’s got 15 stitches. Last year on the 5th of July I was I stuck a box cutter in my knee bout an inch deep. This year I stayed home.

Also you can always ask the hospital for charity care plus uninsured and under insured, these hospitals do as much writes off for care they provide. More than likely if its 100k they can write off 1/2.

Hope for a speedy recovery! Those bills are ridiculous, I went to the hospital once for mental health reasons when I was younger. They gave me one Zoloft for anxiety and a Tylenol for a headache. I was there for about 10 hours and got a $800 bill. On the statement they charged me $40 for the Tylenol they gave me.

Hey buddy you lucky !! Glad it wasn't worst! Had a cousin from northern Indiana that completely lost his right hand, they couldn't life flight him because it was too foggy.

The trick with hospital bills is to just pay them $10-20 a month basically for the rest of your life. They will bitch and moan that they want more but as long as you are paying SOMETHING they won’t send you to collections and trash your credit.

A year ago I went through almost the same thing. I had a hydraulic cylinder explode in my face. Now I wear hearing aids, and I had to have skin graphs on my face and hands. Luckily, my vision is fine I had a 6 inch beard and it got burnt completely off but you live and you learn the more you fuck around the more you find out. Oh yeah, and the helicopter ride was kick ass on the meds they had me on.

Same thing happened to me 6 mo ago, stick with a big ass ball on the end. Immediately went off and blinded and deafened me. I couldn’t see for a solid minute or 2, had no clue if I had a hand or not and just wondered to the house by muscle memory. But when i could see oh boy was it pretty. Lost my middle finger, tip of my index, 75% of my ring and blew my hand in half. Last year in Colorado my friend and I were driving from Laramie We ran out of fuel "our fuel gage didn't work" so I walked to a gas station they let us use theirs I was trying to take the tag off the nozzle with my brand new blade I got from Walmart it looked like a mini clever I was pulling the blade towards me and this happened at night , I wasn't paying attention I broke thru the tag on the nozzle and my new knife moved back so fast , almost cut my left thumb off , I was the only one that knew how to drive stick so my friend called 911 they rushed over the paramedics rushed me to the ER they numbed the inside of my thumb switched me pretty good I felt dumb for going thru that , a month later I almost ripped my toe off in a motorcycle wreck some lady couldnt stop at a stop sign .
