Flushing Meadows Corona Park had the capacity to model Epcot's success. Imagine replicating the World Showcase around the location of the Fountain of Planets. NYC could provide 7 spots the same size as an Epcot pavilion to nations that wanted to create a pavilion as a permanent showcase in the cultural center of America. It would be a boon for tourist and resident alike.
