Mary Carl is a wealth of information. She is a sponge when it comes to feathers. Very unique and beautiful young lady 😊.

Our neighbour is 94 years young. He had those types of pigeons. They still hang around and go free. They are pretty little birds. But then again we have many types here in Australia. My favourite is the kookaburra, second is the waggle tail. Tiny bird that does air acrobatic moves to catch insects. Thank you for the update. God bless 🙏❤

I'm going to explain something to people about livestock guardian dogs. Hidden heights farms has proven it with their's. Even though Brooke has her dogs within the fenced area if there is a threat the fence isn't going to contain them they will jump the fence and engage the threat. They will right now protect the area they have been placed first. They also have the other older livestock guardian dogs outside of that pen.

Yes, here we go again! Yay! Excited to see if providing the "basket" for the VCP's will be the encouragement the birds need to reproduce.

It was a treat to have MaryCarl share more of her wisdom with us. I am always in awe of how easily information flows from her, especially since it's not necessarily common knowledge. Brooke's channel was a great idea. We are fortunate to see different aspects of life on the 40. Who knows, years in the future we may see a channel re 'The Birds of CogHill'.

Good morning. The Boys are so big and as cute as can be. Thank you for sharing. The VCPs are so interesting.

Good idea with the hardware cloth. For doves you can make it easier for a successful nest, because they are known to build sloppy nests that fall apart easily. A losely woven basket can also work. Mourning doves like to build in a forked or 3-way branching, so maybe a nice foked area or something.

Jessie is so happy 🥰 she has wonderful animal and human friends. She could not ask for a better place to live. DeJay from Arms Family Homestead would never entrust one of her babies with someone unless she knew they would have a forever home where they would be loved and happy.
