We Can't See - For thse pilots on a foggy night, poor communication and following directions makes a routine landing turn into a nightmare.
In a chilling near-miss at Theodore Francis Green State Airport on December 6, 1999, United Airlines flight 1448, a Boeing 757, strayed onto an active runway in foggy conditions, narrowly avoiding a potential collision with another aircraft. A combination of miscommunication between the flight crew and air traffic control, exacerbated by limited visibility, led to a tense sequence of events that highlighted the vulnerabilities of airport operations in low-visibility situations. The incident, investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board, served as a stark reminder of the importance of clear communication and precise procedures in safeguarding air travel.

Yes, and I was so impressed by those guys. They saved hundreds of lives ( 205 lives in two planes). They were Perry Redmond and Randall Tilley. US AIR first did not disclose their names but they sajd they were proud of their actions. Both were honored with presidential citation for outstanding service in air safety by airline pilots' association. They both agreed that they were not going to accept that take off clearance in such circumstances. What a great work!! They served as the last defense against a possibly horrible incident.

Recently in New Delhi India, a passenger punched pilot just because flight was delayed. Actually pilot was right he didn't fly because of low visibility due to the fog. I will forward this so well explained video to all my family,friends and all groups on my social media so that it reaches to maximum people and they know how dangerous it is to take off when there is heavy fog on runway. It's better to be late at the destination then to be late title in the front of our name.

This is a perfectly made video! The background music, voiceover, the radio conversation, truly mind blowing production quality. I have one suggestion: You could zoom in/out on plane’s position for a clearer view. For example, when you showed the entire runway map, it was easy to to miss the highlighter.

How in the world is this channel not more famous? I have been watching Air Crash Investigations for about 10 years now and this is better than most big budget productions. You are taking one of the classic examples in aviation. Amazing. Please also do a mid air crash near IGI and Air Canada almost incident when it was close to land in the taxiway where there were 4 planes already.
