Welcome back to another video, this time me and Zak venture out armed with some Axia Mighty Minnow lures, some live prawns and some tope traces. We launched the sib from Littlehampton harbour and off we went out to abteef around 5 miles out.
We decided to first of all fish with live prawns, this is not something I have done this year 'float fishing with live prawns'. Unfortunately as there was not much tide this method was not very effective so we decided to move spot and anchor up the inflatable boat in a better location so we could target some Tope. Once anchored we made up some traces and put down some fresh bait that was caught only a few minutes before... here we were into fish after fish and the madness did not stop until we run out of bait.
The bait we were using was fresh mackeral and fresh bream, if you flapper the bait it will create a nice scent and this will bring in the Tope.
My favourite type of fishing is lure fishing for bass off the inflatable boats (sibs), they are perfect. They are super quick to set up, they are fast, and can go in such shallow water, it's amazing! Inflatable boat fishing is becoming more and more popular as people realise you do not need an expensive boat to reach the marks out at sea. You can buy a setup for around £2000-£3500 and this will do you fine.
I love going beach fishing, shore fishing but nothing beats boat fishing on these inflatable boats. You can find the fish a lot easier, they are fast and most importantly much more fun!
