Once in South Korea, I forgot my wallet with all my stuffs, incluind USD$200,00. In Sungkyungkuan station (Suwon) I got off the train, and some seconds later I remembered my bag. So, I asked someone near, a studant. He guided me to the train administration in the same station, who contacted the "Lost and found" department and ensured me "Don't worry: someone will see and deliver there". 1 hour later, they called the station guy and said someone delivered my bag. When I got there, my bag with all stuffs, money, documents were ok. I love Korea! Never forgot the wonderfull year and half I stayed there.

The reason Koreans don't steal nearly as much are because Asia is a very strict place. If they are caught stealing it's dishonor on their entire family. They are taught this from a very young age. So stealing is basically a slap to their parents face and their parenting. Plus they like to work hard for everything they get/have which is a bonus

That's how it works in places where the police is not a deterrent (understaffed or incompetent), so the people do this to make criminals think twice (ie hard to get caught, but if caught the punishment is extreme, that makes up for the low chance of getting punished), otherwise the place will decend into chaos and nobody can go about their lives with any semblance of normality.

@@thenande Or... You reform your police department
@thenande2 жыл бұрын
@@gtas321 That would be ideal, however in these economies they don't have the budget for tech, tools and manpower. The people wanted reform in their police, their govt until they gave up and do what they can to suppress crime down by their own methods.

"Thieves should be dead" European Countries who stole wealth from Africa : 😐
@BggProductions Жыл бұрын
Perhaps they should've dug up the wealth themselves. Those who are too ignorant to realize they're walking on an ocean of resources cannot complain when someone smarter comes along and puts said resources to use.
