Be careful with the bears. But, i just installed two 4k e340 floodlight cams for the sides of my house that only needs light in 2 directions, and two older 2k floodlight cams which have 3 lights for the back of my house near each corner, where light is needed in 3 directions. I am happy with both floodlight cams so far, but i have to say that installing each one was a long challenge. My house does not have ground wires since it was made in 1965, requiring me to connect the Eufy yellow wire to the metal outlet box using the provided green ground screw . But, the 2 older version floodlights had the wrong size green ground screw (too small), which i did not have on hand🤦‍♂️, yet the 2 newer version floodlights did have the right size green ground screw🤷‍♂️. Also, the convenient new style wire connectors that they provided require a tiny screw driver, which of course they did not provide, and i did not have on hand🤦‍♂️. So, i did not use them and had to cut the already connected floodlight wires off of them🤦‍♂️. Also, the wires that are inside my outlet boxes are pretty short. And the newer version floodlight has an extra bracket or mounting plate that attaches to the outlet box first, which was an extra thing to hold while trying to connect the yellow grounding wire to the green grounding screw on outlet box. The wires on the floodlight are long but barely long enough to connect to the grounding screw while snaking it throught that extra mounting plate and having to loop the exposed end of the wire and hook it into the green screw, which you cant do if you screw on the extra mounting plate first🤦‍♂️. So, you have to hold the extra mounting plate while you are snaking the yellow gound wire through it and then try to hook the loop of the wire that you pre-made onto the green screw that is on the metal outlet box🤦‍♂️. Sure, they provide you a metal hook to hold the floodlight in place to free up your hands to do the wiring, but you actually need another metal hook to hold the extra mounting plate in place as well🤦‍♂️. And, all this holding in place and holding steady requires practice and takes time, which caused the sun to go down🤦‍♂️, which caused me to need a small flashlight, which meant even less hands available🤦‍♂️. I was already holding the screw driver with my mouth. And, even the green grounding screws that i bought from Lowes were too soft and got stripped with the screwdriver and also broke in 2 peices when i used them as nuts with a socket wrench. So, i had to use green grounding clips that i had the gut feeling i should buy also from Lowes. That finally solved the last issue. And, with all these issues, just even writing and reading this was a headache🤦‍♂️. Eufy should have provided the correct size grounding screws and a tiny screw driver for the new style wire connector or provide lever locking wire connectors that dont require tiny screwdrivers🤷‍♂️.

I have two questions; 1- during the 24/7 mode, will the light be on all night? Will it record cold or B&W at night? 2- does the camera support SMTP? I want use it in “Home Assistant “ using “SCRYPTED”

I'm not sure about 24/7 mode because I've never tried that before, but I do know that it records in whatever setting you choose for the night. If you go into the settings and choose for it to record in color, it should. I'm also not sure about the light. You can turn the light on/off or set it to motion activated, but I don't know how that would work in 24/7 mode. I apologize, but I have no idea if the camera supports SMTP.

The Eufy S340 is a smaller battery version with a solar power for those remote locations.

Can you turn the camera off in the app to insert sd card? Or do you have to switch off circuit?

I know you can turn the camera on and off through the app, and if I remember well you can install the SD card with just the camera turned off.

Are the night vision shots from your previous camera? I did see this camera has night vision... does the tracking work in that mode or just when illuminated?

Some of the shots are from old cameras. Yes the tracking does work at night also. They also have a solar powered version of this camera. :)

Me too! I thought for sure it was the raccoons! The cat is a bobcat... so far we've had a really good experience with all the Eufy cameras we've tried. :)
