All of the items at the top of the window sticker that have an '*', which also say 'STD' in the right column, were standard equipment with the cost of the "base" (no extra options) GT.

I still have a set of those seats in my garage in good condition. They are supposed to be gray. : ) I am pretty sure I spotted that car on FB. Great to see that it was even nicer than I figured it would be. 85/86 are super hard to find in good condition. Those hatchback doors used to rust within a few years in MI (where I grew up), so you know. VERY common. We figured the metal on the hatchback lids were not coated like the rest of the car. Have fun.

Standard equipment will show no extra cost to the right of the line items. In your case it looks like the invoice has abbreviations for “Standard.” Everything that has a dollar amount next to it is optional equipment that was added to the standard build.

They have soft seats in 80s and 90s they became more solid feeling lol

The AOD is actually a 4 speed transmission. The key to it is if you pull off in first and shift to 2nd it's going to shift to third too soon and kill your RPMs. When you shift from 1st to 2nd as soon as it shifts into 2nd pull it back into 1st. That holds 2nd until you're ready to go to 3rd then shift into 4th manually. 3 spots on the shifter with 4 actual gears.

Very nice car. Those front seats have been recovered, is the reason they don’t match. The original material is super thin. So, I’m sure at some time it probably separated. I owned two 86’s and an 85 when they were a couple years old.

I think a sleeper build would be awesome. Restore the exterior back to OG down to the wheels. Re-do the sticker kit, get the original wheels and since they are 15” wheels put some meats on the back. The only thing I would do to the engine bay is steam clean it and paint what needs painted and add a vortech. A nice 500hp street demon.

For the door pockets. Cut the elastic pull it tight and tie it. Easy $0 fix.

I don’t recommend buying new headlights for Silverback just use a drill bit and drill a small hole in the bottom if the housing then all the water will leak out but then like put some kinda sealer or just leave it open so that when it does rain it leaks out it’s just a temporary fix I know it will fog up on the inside bud it’s so you don’t have buy headlights right away

The front seats were definitely reupholstered. It’s a very nice car though.

My first mustang was an 89fox vert (320hp)and last was a 07 gt500 (966hp) then I had a daughter sold everything and started a channel Nd moved on to building guns thought it would b cheaper it’s not 😂
