Inspiration for creativity can strike at any moment and is always fun to embrace especially when creating your own Warhammer 40,000 regiment or squad, whether it's Space Marines, Astra Militarum, Sisters of Battle, Necrons, Orks, the list goes on. In this fun tutorial, we show you how we created our very own regiment inspired by my other hobby...any guesses lol?
We show you how to approach creating your own home brew regiment or squad from thinking about conversions and kit-bashing including doing some simple sculpting to colour schemes. So go grab your bitz boxes and let's get creative.
If you have any great ideas for 40K regiments inspired by history or just sound cool then let us know in the comment section, we'd love to hear from you.

Wow, I did not know that you are an reenactor! Very cool! I once saw the reenactment of a battle of the napoleonic era here in Austria. It was amazing! Not only what all the reenactors set up but also how many they were. They had not only infantry but artillery and even cavalry! Very interesting and impressive! The conversion you made is very nice! I like the way the musket looks. I used a miniature from the "Les Grognard" set from Wargames Atlantics to try out a paint job inspired by the Austrian line infantry from the napoleonic era. This set has great fur cap heads, ideal for french grenardiers by the way. I used the shako for my mini. I want to create an army in the style of the Austrian army from that time, so white coats for infantry, brown for artillery and, at least in my case, green for the cavalry. I have chosen a specific cavalry regiment, chevauleger, with green coats. All lapels are red and the left shoulder too. That should tie the army a bit together, I hope ;) I will mainly use the GW models and I am not yet sure if I will go for the shakos for all the models from the Wargames Atlantic models. I also tried to copy the typical Austrian helmet from that era with the helmet from the Elucidian Starstriders kill team, one with a visor. That looks good so far, but the paint job is not yet completed. I hope I will be done with that army this year! Thanks for your videos! They are always very inspiring!
