I just heard an interview with Kelly Clarkson and she did not sign up with American Idol's company. Simon Fuller let her out of that and she signed with the record company and producer of her choice because he had promised he would continue to directly support her, but when he realized he couldn't keep his word, he let her go. Conan O'Brien, who was interviewing her, said something like "That was a terrible business move but a great human being move." Angelina and her team knew exactly what they were doing.

It was really weird at first to watch this with no sound. This is the first time I have seen this song blocked by UMG, and I have watched many, many, many reactors react to this song. But I'm glad because it made me think of two things. First, I think music must be an experience totally (or mostly, at least) unique to humans. I don't think of birds chirping as "music" in the human sense because there is no emotional content trying to be conveyed to the listener. Likewise, I have never seen any other animal cry from listening to any form of music. But my second thought was how sad it is for those who are deaf to not be able to experience the magic of Angelina Jordan, or any other artist for that matter. I am so thankful for the senses that God has given me. And thank you for spreading Angelina's music to other parts of the world.

So glad to hear that your reaching out to someone you know to get this played on air. This is so good! When this was initially released, it hit a number of charts from around the world and online, but still, this should be even bigger. The video itself has over 1.7 million views and still is number 2 on the Retro Pop Music List on Spotify for over a month. It had the number one spot for a few weeks and has held steady at 2. I'm impressed because this had very little if any marketing and she's got that many views and has many streams/downloads online. Love your reactions my friend!

I did not know what to expect from her first own album, I think nobody knew, and we still don't know what she'll do in the future, but when I first heard this new song and the teaser from her upcoming EP, I realized that she establishes her own unique style and sound, which, if we're honest, is the most important thing for an artist. I think now is Angie's time and needs her current release and next release promoting so to displace the mainstream norm. I agree about AGT, most likely she would have been converted to pop, choreography and the usual formulaic money-making norm. We've just had Glastonbury here in the UK, listening to some radio coverage there was nothing in Angie's league vocaly, 200k attendees need Angie next year.

Had Angelina been there, back in the day, I'm sure Alexander would have been willing to give up anything for Angelina's hand in marriage. The thing is, would mom Sara and Grandma Mery have approved the union? Mery could have recited poetry at the wedding, since she first recited her own poems on 'Radio Iran' when she was 4 years old.

I love this song and the symbolism in this video. --Her grandmother (herself a great artist), her chief inspiration along for this ride. --An old Porsche from the time period that her vocals might have come from. Wonder if she knows how to drive a stick shift? Wouldn't surprise me. --The guitar...I think from her Elvis cover... that goes with her hair style and clothing. Symbolizing that music is with her. --She is in the driver's seat and doing the steering. It is she who tunes the radio to the song she wants. AJ has an incredible esthetic in her music, her clothing, and I would bet also in her chosen surroundings. She seems very humble but I would think she is fully running the music side of things and has been for awhile now. She is now moving to be "The Boss" in all parts of her endeavors. She is a top level, class act who, if she doesn't kill you with her smile, will win you over with her songs.

I think this style is only going to be one of her many upcoming styles. She did a teaser from her "Old Enough" EP that she will release in the next few days. The song was titled Now I'm the Fool & it was totally different from this. To me, it brings to mind the sound of Santana, & I love me some Santana.
