A fun fact that I heard somewhere Someone who works at Mojang said the mob ideas aren't tossed out, but put into a library to where they can be added "When the time is right" like how frogs got added with the swamp update Although, when explaining what he meant by "When the time is right" he said "Between now and the heat death of the universe" or when the sun explodes, either one of those 2, basically, it's just going to be a surprise

"Why do they keep trusting us, we do it to em every year!" I absolutely love this quote because of how true it is. Literally every single mob vote has caused excessive drama and controversy. Phantoms are notoriously known as the most annoying mob in the game. Glow Squids caused a lot of hatred due Dream supposedly rigging the vote. Allay was most likely the least hated mob vote, although people were saying Dream also rigged it (which is untrue) Sniffers were really hyped up, but ended up being two decorative plants which people despised And then this year. I don't think I need to explain it.

There’s controversy for a reason. They use the mob vote so they don’t have to develop the full content for the game. If they just added everything that would be in a mod vote, even if it takes a few extra months, minecraft would be a larger better game

The Allay may be one of (if not the) the only ones people ended up mostly okay with. Its a necessary piece for making non-stackable item sorters, so while niche its pretty useful. Also its cute so there's that. I'm still tilted over the Moobloom losing though.

The Biome votes made sense . It takes a lot of dev time to make and update a whole biome. In comparison, the mob vote is a year of dev time for a mob that does very little, it makes no sense why all three cant be added

That's like comparing a military member to a terrorist. One is trained, has certain rules to follow, and has to go through long processes to get things done. A terrorist can just act with reckless abandon and get things done. Sorry for that analogy, I'm tired and my brain is on the meh side. Either way, the point I'm making here is that organized, complex groups take much longer to produce results, while a freelancer, or unorganized team, has essentially no restrictions, and does not have any pressure of their work placed upon them.

I think that reason that a lot of people just don't have patience or sympathy for Mojang Devs is that we're dealing with several controversies that give Mojang a REALLY bad look. We got: They put Technoblades Crown into the launcher only to remove it when Phoenix was able to put it back in to the new design incredibly quickly (Makes it look like they did it for publicity in the first place because other controversies were also happening at the time) Chat reporting on private servers that are not Mojang sponsored They tried to implement several more banning features for things such as quitting early (Why), servers would get shut down for guns (just going full baby mode), griefers getting banned from online play (people are gonna grief and some servers even encourage it), and then there are still p2w servers and scams running abundant even though Mojang is getting stricter for the players who play nice.

Terraria according to the Devs has received its final update 6 different times. Yet each final update adds substantial content. The game also has no MTX and goes on sale for 5 dollars regularly. And as an indie game is not financially backed by Microsoft. Yet it does right by its community every time.

@@misterboxhead3045 Because it's a compromise. It means everyone gets what they want. Anyone who was happy for any mob gets their wish. Until you dig a bit deeper and realize, from time to time, it might be a bit too much in the way of new mechanics, or in the case of some of the new hostile mobs, they're things nobody wants. I don't want a water mob. That sounds terrifying. We already have the Drowned. I don't want to get jumpscared like I do in Ice And Fire with the sea serpents. Nobody likes phantoms. Anyone who likes what they bring to the table uses a Bed the exact nanosecond it becomes night, every time. That's why there's a better option: Vote OUT the mob you DON'T want.

@@kirbyfreakyt4695honestly I feel like more people would be ok with the mob votes if the mobs added actually added complex things. All the mobs every time are so simple though that they really don’t have any reason to just add one except they fell like being lazy.

@@unqualifiedtoast700They do mob votes to stir the Community up and give them some crumbs to knaw on. They are fully capable of releasing these moves in one big update but they never do, we will never see the mobs that were lost in the game being implemented.

it's not about it being rigged, or even about only getting one, but it's about how they divide the community every year. we're tired of it, so instead of letting the vote divide us, we stand united against it. I can't speak for the whole community, but I'd rather have nothing than contend with this chicanery for any longer.
