After another stop in Coral Seas Marina at Airlie Beach, it's time to leave the Whitsunday Islands behind and continue our journey south through Australia's Great Barrier Reef. We make a short, upwind hop to anchor at Happy Bay on Long Island in anticipation of favourable northerly winds forecast for the next day.
No such luck as we face more upwind sailing to the Newry Islands. Here we discover the secret hideaway of Australia's first ever sex siren of the silver screen. Who? Well here's a tip. As the star of the 1916 film 'A Daughter of the Gods' she was the first major actress to appear nude in a Hollywood production.

I love that you do this all as a couple. The planning, the video content, the sailing. Your presentation including distance, time, and location always ensures we know exactly what you're up to. @@Dreamtimesail Currently we are in Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle however the channel has silted up and they are negotiating a new dredging contract so we are stuck there for a time. It is a lovely lake for exploring so we are not too inconvenienced. Our usual home, while we reside near Canberra, is Batemans Bay.

Sorry about that David. We were trying to work around some pretty bad wind noise. We've since bought a better mic and are working towards getting a second. It's a bit of an expensive hobby. Hope you stick with us as we work to keep improving the production quality. Cheers!
