That’s typically an emotional time no matter the situation, new build, new accessories, old barn find etc. No matter the situation, when you fire up a rig that you’re not sure will run it’s a great feeling when it actually fires and runs. I could only imagine how she felt.

I thought that it was pretty neat the trust this lady had in Paul and his ability to finish her husband's truck. I know Paul can finish this because he is such a skilled guy when it comes to cars. He has a real passion for cars and fixing them. You can just see it every time he lets us into his shop to watch him. I can hardly wait to see the finished product! Glad to be part of the Fab Rats channel, always get surprised with whatever they do. The trip between St. George and Ely, Nevada is something I did when I was out working near Ely, it was a 7-hour trip for me one way from my home in Northeast Arizona. Getting the truck started was awesome, I'm sure the late owner heard it from above and smiled and glad that his wife made a smart decision by letting Paul finish the project and is in good hands now. My guess on that car we didn't get to see in this video is probably a classic customized Cadillac, maybe similar to the one Paul gave away last year👍🇺🇸..

Wow! Had '67 Firebird, 326ci, 4-spd hardtop in high school (71 - 73), sold it few years later. Got married, had kids but was fortunate to find another '67, 400ci, convertible, automatic on the column. Didn't need a whole of restoration, mostly mechanical. But started a new job which required a pretty good commute so sold it to buy another car. Been looking for another one past few years as I am at retirement age now and would love to "re-live" that feeling again. Paul, I am SO-O-O jealous!!! Please keep us updated on the "bird".

Went through that section from burns to bend many times. Fell asleep one time and ran off the road (daytime). You can only stare at bachelor and sisters just so long. That road is so flat and so straight it lulls you. Burns is farmers. Bend is californicans. Great story of the journey and the truck. Problems from my 12yr cancer journey has had my Nova on jackstands for over 4 years now. Last time I was making progress on it another tumor was discovered. You all finish that truck up and drive it back so she can see it and take a ride.

Wow, love the truck and what an awesome lady to think of you Paul when she decided it was time to let it go. Unfortunately I can relate to this lady really well. My husband died when he was 48 and a while after he passed I let one of his trucks go. Then a couple years later I let another one go. I cried watching it go down the driveway but I knew it was time. I can not wait to see what her car is. I bet you will be making another trip back for it or getting it running and someone driving it back now. Oh how I wish this vid was longer. It is one channel of just a few that I wish was longer.

I can relate to this. My brother (my best friend) was a car guy all his life. He got me in to the old cars many, many years ago and we bought and built several over the years, but they were always for other people. My brother bought a 1972 Dodge Charger 10 years ago, and we started restoring it in between building cars and trucks for other folks. Three months ago we had started back working on the Charger and my brother went to sleep one night and just never woke up. Now I am too old and sick myself to finish it for him. Makes me sad to think he worked his whole life with the dream of someday driving that Charger. I hope he got one when he made it to heaven. Love and Miss you Brother. Thanks for doing what you do guys. Makes my heart feel good knowing there are still folks like you out there.

Great! One of the favorite vehicles of my life is a 1952 Chevy pickup truck that I owned for about four years, back at the end of the '70s. And then, just about four years ago I drove 20 hours, round trip, to buy a 21 foot open sailboat. It was an excellent weekend! I know you're going to enjoy this, and so am I, as I watch you get it together! Yay!

This is next-level automotive content. I imagine this would have lots of appeal to folks who aren't even into cars so much. These long-form narratives with great human stories as foundations are very cool - every bit as cool as the neat stuff Paul is doing with the machines. Seems like maybe this is the Fab Rats niche? Great job, y'all. Excited to see the car.

You can tell everyone there were car people. The lady was proud that what her husband built with 4 years of sitting could start and sound so good. Paul was grinning bigger than I think I've ever seen. Everyone I saw had a big grin on their face. I lost my dad and it's tough to deal with but you folks are blessing her as she's blessing you all. I was a bit upset to hear oh my gosh at the end and then to see (to be continued). I really wanted to see that car after seeing that beautiful truck, but I guess I'll have to wait like everyone else. You guys are sneaky you know that!

Can I just tell you how much I enjoy your channel. My cousin told me about only a few months ago,and I have binged watch ever episode. I enjoy how you guys work and how you present yourself. Paul reminds me a lot of my own father. And I grew up with him teaching me the same way if we wanted we built it ourselves or worked out but off to get something we could fix and use. And if we didn’t know how we learned or taught ourselves how. I am working on getting parts together to build some of my dream rigs any from a chopped rat rod to a rocky crawler/hunting buggy/ hunting rig. But again I can not tell you how much I enjoy your channel and your family. You are raising them well. I hope to one day travel down south from from north eastern Utah to meet you guys.
