This is the garage for the Hotel Mondschein, where we stayed for one night. You need a room key to access the garage.

It is a very small garage where they needed more than one floor of parking- a ramp wouldn't be practical in this case, because it would take up like half the floor area

I looked it up before we drove it in there- The elevator has a 2000 Kilo capacity, and the car weighed about 1750 if I remember correctly

1 of the IKEA stores in my city has a KONE lift with similar doors, but its used instead by staff to transport trolleys returned by exiting customers at the carpark back to the market hall 1 floor above. It ends up spending most of its time idle with the doors open as such a big lift takes a long time to be filled up with & then later emptied out of trolleys

I find it depressing that I cant get any of my videos to perform like this. All the hard work I put into them and they just tank after a few thousand :( Maybe Im just wasting my time.

Of course you're not wasting your time, when you have thousands of people watching your videos! When a video performs well, ask yourself why. Once you fi gure that out, try to replicate that for future videos! Considering the success of this, and some of my other videos, here's what I've found to be most important. Note these are generalities, there are exceptions. -The word "vintage" seems to be a turn-off -Eye catching thumbnail. For some reason, I've found that thumbnails showing one or two buttons, compared to an entire panel, perform better. I prefer not to use text. -Try to express how a particular video is unique in the title. Think about what the casual viewer, not just elevator geeks, would find interesting. -It's better to put brand names and addresses (just mention the city) in the description rather than the title. Most viewers don't care about that. Let me use two of your suggested videos in my sidebar to illustrate: 1. HUGE Freight Elevator ride - Texas sized Thyssen Dover Hydraulic with CUSTOM IMPULSE and EPIC MOTOR This title and thumbnail are good! You can easily see this is a big elevator from the thumbnail, and that draws attention. Highlighting that it is "Texas-sized" is good too. Only thing I'd do differently is leave out the "Huge Elevator" text on thumbnail (it's obvious) and remove "Custom Im'pulse." 2. #TBT Vintage Doolan Hydraulic Elevator at 933 N Kenmore St Arlington VA Bad title, bad thumbnail. The average person has no idea what TBT, Doolan, or Payne are, and doesn't care about the street address. The thumbnail with the entire fixture panel is too small to see any significant details...I don't see anything that would compel the casual browser to click on this video. I hope this was helpful for you and anyone else who may have read it.

Man, that car elevator looks a lot nicer than the one that's at the new apartment complex I'm staying at for now. For mine, it's not nearly as big, and I have to go through a multi-step process to get my car up to where I park or down from there. I have to do the following to get my car up or down: -Open the garage door and pull the car into the elevator (not too bad since I have a backup camera with my car, but no proximity sensors) -Get out of my car, since the controls are in this interior stairwel -Close the garage door -Enter my personal code used to control the elevator itself and then wait for it to go up or down (it's about 1 minute and 10 seconds for it to go up, and much shorter than that for it to go down -Open the garage door and then I can finally pull out Quite the process I have to go through compared to that thing! I still to this day don't get why they decided to go this route for the upper level of that parking structure when they easily could have made it a ramp instead. They could have done more underground parking too just like they did for the unit that's right next door to it.

Thyssenkrupp is prime contractor for the Orion model 2 stardrive that's being tested secretly in lunar orbit at this time. Will be publicly announced later this year. Perhaps appropriate that a company that makes escalators and elevators to lift people and cars... will provide the biggest lift of all to spacecraft in this century! The prototype Orions that I saw were beautiful, precision engineered massive metal machines, primarily electromagnetic but with a high-speed 40-ft. rotor called the ring main that stores energy for the lightspeed propulsion, and maintains the drive field.

The luxary ocean liner formerly known as The QE-2 of 1967, (now bearthed at Dubai,UEA, ) has a below deck vehicle elevator for cars, trucks and vans ,very similar. The cab can be spun in a 360 at a landing to help load and off load vehicles guessing the parking area can hold twenty vehicles in its parking area.A coffee table book written about the liner had a photo of this elevator.
