I am black American and I've met some people from Africa who joined the US Army with me and worked with them as cooks and one of them didn't eat meat and was traumatize by the sight of raw meat. I asked him why and the stories I heard was heartbreaking others from Pacific islands and South America had similar horrific stories. Don't go to the villages lol.

wow, this was a crazy adventure and he's lucky not to have had something worse happen to him. for some reason, I'm being directed to this channel and it's the 2nd video I've seen. Ironically, the first video was with him going to a village where the children were screaming and crying because they thought HE was the cannibal! They had never seen a white man before. Imagine.

In the West, you can offer money for anything you might want but in older civilizations, words and respect goes a looong way, they’re more valuable than money. Even Josie had a nice way of telling you why your behavior was considered rude :) And if you can use their village and what it has to offer for a nice day out for yourself and even make a KZfaq video with an irrelevant title to get your views, it’s only right that you ‘offer’ them money with respect and gratitude, instead of throwing it as to get rid of them. And cannibalism is a lazy way to understand a small religious sect. In India, we have Aghoris and even if one might not agree with their philosophy, it still is their own. The whole point of traveling is for you to experience how different the world is from you and not critique it for being ‘weird’ because it isn’t a mirror reflection.

As someone who was raised in Uganda... People absolutely hate being recorded. But if you ask and pay them they sometimes allow. Also if you are shooting something they will most likely watch. Also near my village in Rakai there are known to be cannibals there.

But these villagers showed themselves to be rapacious greedy criminals and terrible hosts. What a nightmare. And for you of those who make excuses for their hateful conduct in some silly form of cultural relativism, or blame him somehow for being in their midst, hey stupid, shitty attitudes and ignorant beliefs are wrong in any context, in any situation, in any land across this world. These villagers don't deserve understanding, they should be scorned.

I have travelled to Uganda with my daughter to a village that is remote. We were made welcome. But were escorted by our hosts all the time. Everyone we met were curious about us (two white wonen) but were also kind to us. We didn't take photos or video of people without permission. However I felt that we were safe because of our hosts, alone would have been a bit scary.
