A number of years ago, my grandson was at school fell down the stairs and broke his leg. He had a casts of course, once home he was given medication that made his sick to his stomach. He got up hobbling on his crutches, did not make it to the bathroom and slipped on the mess on the floor and broke his arm. OMG it was awful having a broken leg and arm at the same time.

My 3 year old grandson brought his thigh bone. He was in a body cast for 5-6 weeks. When he got his cast off he had to learn how to walk again. He started crawling and dragging his body along the floor and 3 weeks later he walked again. So happy Peace is doing fine. She will be running around before you know it. ☺

We used mason jars for drinking for a long time. I actually didn’t like drinking out of them, I find the screw rings annoying, but it was out of necessity because all our cups broke and I always have canning jars! If two people had the same type of jar, would put hair ties on them, or write names with wet erase markers, and everyone used the same cup all day. But most of the time we just had enough different jars. For Christmas, we got a set of 8 stainless steel cups that are all different colors. No more breaking jars! My tattler canning lids fit on the top so we cover them as needed, though it doesn’t screw on.

Outdoor shower!!!! Wonderful. Last summer we were up north visiting our kids and I had a disastrous fall resulting in multi breaks on my right ankle/leg, putting me in a wheel chair. After surgery they let hubby haul me back home to Florida where we have a RAMP, and an outdoor shower. I thought I would never use it, but it was WONDERFUL. He had built a privacy fence, and so only the deer and squirrels got shocked, and I loved it. I healed enough to use the indoor shower just as the weather turned cooler, but I'm thinking that soon I just might try that outside again. It's a great idea. So glad Peace's knee was not broken.

I’m so glad Peace didn’t have a broken leg! Not only because of surgery, etc., but travel to Africa with a cast would not have been great. I had a broken arm twice as a preschooler. After I was an adult, I asked my mom if I had needed physical therapy, and she told me that’s why I had so many different types of play balls as a child. The pediatrician told my parents to play ball with me and to encourage throwing, catching, bouncing, etc. I never even knew it was “prescribed”, I just thought I liked playing with balls!

We have discussed on and off what we would want in a house if we won a zillion dollar lottery. A mud room of some type with a shower (and drain system) capable of washing off mud etc... has been a constant.

Please get a heat plate for the baby birds. Amazon has them. Because if the splash a drop of water on that bulb it can shatter and possibly catch fire.

Hi Sunshine 💐🥳💐, I have a suggestion for You, have you tried to candle or candling the eggs, You might want to check that, out I know that the eggs have to be, candled in the dark You can use a flashlight, by doing this it will help You to know, which eggs have a Baby chick inside of them, & which ones don’t. Just a suggestion Sunshine 🥳💐🥳P.S. You also need to mark them, & turn them about how much, You might need to do some research, on that.💐🥳💐

Do the dogs have air tags on their collars? It is helpful to track them. My niece has trained her dog to come when she beeps the air tag. Super helpful when you have a lot of land

Your grandma saving her cookies for the great grandkids. That is a lot for a grandma to give up her dessert! I hope peace starts walking again soon. Sometimes going in the pool swimming will help with exercise too! I pray you get things running efficiently for the caretakers of the farm while you are gone! 13 ducks, you should breed on a semi industrial scale and freeze the meat. Same with chickens. It could be the older kids job to feed, and water them daily.

Re your outdoor shower. Quite common here in New Zealand to have an outdoor shower, especially if we have a house near or at the beach, to wash off sand and salt water before coming inside. Houses on farms often have a toilet and washing facilities at or near the back entrance door or a mud room where gumboots, workboots, jackets etc can be left.

I am so thankful that your baby girls knee is not broken. God answers prayer in the Morning ,God answers Prayer at Noon and God answers Prayer in the Evening so keep your heart ❤️ in Tune. This is part of a song. I've always loved this song. Sang it in Church as a very little girl. AND know it to be True. Hatching Chick's is very rewarding. So so happy to hear that Peace does not have a broken knee or growth plate!!! Praise God. Ironically the story you told of the person moving from one broken bone to another. My youngest who is now 24 was and is an avid skateboarder and broke is foot. The day before the cast was to come off he was skateboarding with the medical boot on his foot ( not recommended) anyway you guessed it. He fell and landed on his hand of the same side of his body so we had one cast off then one put on all in the same day the little bugger LOL All is good now but it made me giggle a bit when you were tellling that story!!

That's so great about Peace's knee! My then 4 year old daughter was extremely sick a few years ago and according to the xray her Pediatrician thought she had double pneumonia (even though she had just started cold symtoms the night before!) We went to the hospital because she couldn't stay awake and her oxygen levels were low and ended up in the PICU on round the clock breathing treatments. Turns out she did not have pneumonia but she had developed asthma due to an unknown severe cat allergy and we had gotten a kitten the week before! The Pulmonologist knew it right away looking at her xray that it was asthma induced respiratory distress. Sometimes they just dont know exactly what they are seeing because they dont have the specialized experience. Especially with tiny bodies! I love the cup idea! We drink out of mason jars and there are only 6 of us but no one ever knows who's is who's. This would solve a lot! Oh, and I used to work in a day care for many years before i had my own kids and one of the two year olds (who is now 12 😮) was super sick for a week and doted on and carried around every where. When she was better and back at the day care it was almost a week before she would walk on her own. It was kinda funny.

When my sister lived in Ohio, she had an outdoor Shower, they loved it. Afterwards her neighbors started putting them in their backyards as well.

Praise God! Peace's leg isn't broken!! As a child I along with all my siblings, got to see so many things happen on the farm. Hatching eggs was a favorite of us all. We had to turn the eggs twice a day so we put an X on.one sure. That way we knew when they were turned properly. Watching your videos brings back a lot of fond memories. Thank you for that!!

My doctor was the opposite. My 3 yr old broke his thumb, his doctor thought it was just jammed. She reluctantly sent him for an X-ray. His growth plate was broken. He had to have surgery to put pins in and wear the metal contraption on his thumb for 8 weeks. Luckily we have world renowned hand surgeons Kleinert and Kutz in our city.

You should invest in a pair of African Geese! They are very noisy and will help protect the ducks if you get them as goslings and raise the ducks with them!
