Definitely an art to holding out an outnumbering force, I have notice more team play but I think it's all around safety in numbers to quash Carrier spam but more seem to be recognising what's happening and acting accordingly, counter rotating, winning flanks even holding out radar until they're in a good position instead of straight out the gate

its a bit sad, that the average exp is so low. in games with 8 teammates that know what they are doing, you win too easy as all potatoes are in the opposing team. 😢

I don't grade myself on damage points, it can be misleading. Now that was very difficult for me because I grew up in an era of arcade games that revolved around the pursuit of high scores requiring high damage output...it wasn't a thing, it was THE thing. I now operate more on the Formula One or MotoGP podium rule...if I'm in the Top 3 at the end of a match and stayed alive, that tells me I likely did very well as a teammate. Here's an example. My best game in a Shimakaze was a game in which I connected with zero torpedos and finished with roughly 4,000 damage (I used my guns if all things-got a few fire that lasted) but I was on the Podium because....I not only spotted but I played the objectives (it was in domination mode) I collected two solo caps and assisted on a third. I was virtually undiscovered by the enemy. Yes I fired torpedos a-plenty close-spread, widespread...i hit nothing. Not a Shimakaze-ish kinda game at all, but I did much more than what the enemy destroyers cared to do by playing the objectives, watching that scoreboard and we won the match. My numbers weren't nearly indicative of what I actually did but there I was, on the Podium anyway. Four of us were alive in the end. Granted I benefitted from an enemy that had destroyers that were likely damage chasing, certainly not spotting, definitely not playing the match objectives, and not interested in hunting me, but that's on them. Had I got frustrated by missing torpedo strike after torpedo strike, I may have not prioritized the bigger picture and the match would have likely been a bit different. 4,083 points and I think it was roughly 2200-2400 XP...in a fundamentally sound performance. Of all the matches I've played, and it's a lot, that particular match is still my favorite... ...and I'm not a destroyer main at all, but this was one of the best teams I played with. We never once lost the lead.

No. Last good team I had let me push in a bottom tier Nevada. I yeeted a battleship and a cruiser that underestimated me, then murdered a dd that thought that because he had been ignored that he could get away with being stupid. Over extended and alone, I was promptly yeeted by the focused fire of three BBs and a cruiser. We had already lost a BB, and looking at the score board I despaired. But I was wrong. The Reds were out of position and gaggled, damaged, and on the back foot. And the Blues curled around them and squeezed.

I still learn watching. I have 63 percent win rate with 2 kd and 1500 avg xp. Spartan still teaches me all the time. Please watch and listen

I wish I had teams like that. My teams are usually the enemy team here. I always get 90k+ damage and still lose. A lot. I'm usually too3 every game I play and I lose 7 of 10 games. It's upsetting
