Man I'm so gutted this is over, I've LOVED rewatching this show with you. My favourite show in years. I was always team Tom so I'm so glad he won out at the end, he was the one always working, always grafting, willing to sacrifice etc. Rob's face when Kendall said he made up the waiter story was hilarious. Can't wait to see what you guys do next 🎉

Bryce you're serving in the fit. This was such a fun show to watch with you guys and I hope you enjoyed it! There's so much to say but I loved this finale so much. I am a bit more hopeful than a lot of people (and the writers) I think that this was the best ending for the Big 3 Roys. Kendall was prepared to walk away from the company in season 3, it is not good for him to be this invested in this so I think it'll take some time for him but he will get better. I think Roman always knew it was all bullshit but he wanted his family's affection. Now my opinion on Shiv is super unpopular, mostly because people just don't like her and I do. People question Shiv's decision and reduce her character to being a clone of Caroline/Logan but Shiv is NOT Caroline and Tom is NOT Logan and that's hugely important. I took the hand-holding moment as Tom and Shiv finally accepted each other based on their conversation earlier in the show. Also this plan was the OG plan from season 1 technically with Shiv getting Tom the CEO position. She just re-pivoted. That's not to say I don't think Shiv suffered a major loss because the misogyny sucks but I genuinely think she made a good choice for her and her baby. Jesse Armstrong even said that in a lot of ways, Shiv is the one still in play. Finally, I also don't see Shiv being "stuck" anywhere with Tom because it's not the 1950s and she's a billionaire who has shown us that if she's not happy, she's ditching.

Watch Roman when Kendall physically attacks him... he just screams with his arms down at his sides... classic symptom of learned helplessness. Logan programmed his kids to fight eachother for everything. and in the end - shiv would rather scorch the earth of her own family empire and doom herself to a loveless marriage than let her own brother have it.

So the whole thing with Kendall's kids.. Roman said one was a "buy in" because one was adopted. The other was an IVF baby using someone else's sperm which is why Roman said he was the product of some other guy. So Logan didn't recognize them as continuing his bloodline because neither technically were his bloodline.

The kitchen scene was the last scene they filmed 😭 Also, Jeremy Strong actually tried to jump over the bridge in Kendalls last scene because he felt like Kendall wanted to die. He jumped over the barrier and onto the pilings and the actor playing Colin had to run and pull him back.

Remember Shiv is going to have Tom’s baby, everything is a move. Had she made the other decision, he may have ended things. She wants more for her future child.

It was such a perfect decision by this show to have Kendall's exact moment of failure be him literally NRPI-ing the cater waiter from the wedding. Even from the grave, Logan Roy has one final moral victory, one that'll hang over Kendall's head for the rest of his life

it’s a testament to the show’s writing that scenes about board votes can be so tense and exciting. it was such a great experience watching this show as it was airing, and it was really fun revisiting it with you three!

Bryce & Rob, I enjoyed every second of your reactions, I just loved how into it you were also you remember a lot of the plot and understand the characters enough to predict what they’ll do. I watched almost every succession reaction on youtube and you tow are on my top 3 deff. I just loved how you flow with character development.

What a finale this is. Every time I love it more. Seeing them as opponents and then as siblings messing around, being the most free we've seen all series only for it to come crashing down. I love that the last scenes they filmed on the show were those in Barbados. The stiches scene really gets me every time. It's so chilling. I have come around to the view that Roman needed that abuse in that moment, because that's what he's been pre-conditioned to need after years of it from Logan (look at him going out in to the protesters to get hit last ep), so I know some say Kendall only did what he needed, but still for me, seeing Kendall become the abuser figure to Roman, in place of Logan, after he'd previously jumped to his defence, was so chilling. He was really showing how much he was willing to become like his dad and that was another example. Roman yet again pulled in to line via abuse. Just awful. I was lucky enough to watch this ep live in London in a cinema with Jesse Armstrong and some of the writers and that scene got a lot of gasps in the room. I don't blame Shiv. She summed it up - she loves Kendall but she can't stomach him. He's always obnoxious when winning and he'd have been unbearable in charge. The fact she's still aligned to power via Tom is at least something, but yet again she's sidelined by a man in her life. If only she'd not fallen for Logan's games to control his kids in season 2's opener, she'd have possibly been Chief Of Staff to VP Gil right now. It's been great watching this again with the three of you!

I told you guys that you would learn a lot of business and corporate legal jargon in this show and now when you watch a news show or read a newspaper, whether an actual paper or digital, you're going to understand terms like corporate takeover, merger, buy-out, bear hug, poison pill, supermajority vote, voting stock vs. non-voting stock, board meeting, shareholder meeting, etc. You really have learned a lot from watching the show and it'll make real life corporate events understandable. As you can tell, I love corporate law. It's my life and I'm glad to see the younger generation enjoy this type of show. ❤

I think Shiv's decision makes so much sense. She's realizing she'll never be CEO but she wants to get as close to it as possible. Her brothers have proven time and time again that they're willing to cut her out of every decision. With Tom, she can still be in the know. As for Shiv and Tom's relationship, I don't know that I feel she's stuck with Tom now. I actually feel like it gives her some power in the relationship. In the end, she betrayed her brothers for him, and if he wants to question her or her "love" for him, she has a big thing to point to that proves him wrong and she can hold it over his head for the rest of their lives. As a Kendall girlie, I was gutted to see my boy lose but I think it's for the best. Logan never taught his kids how to win, so when Kendall has any bit of success, he can't handle it and acts like an idiot. Anyway...excited I got to watch your reactions to this great show!!

I love how the family parasites (Tom and Greg) are the only two people remaining in the company. So fitting 🤣🤣 I think Roman is the biggest winner of the 3 sibs, he looks relieved and free. Shiv, like you guys said, is in a marriage of convenience. She ruined her chances of having an authentic relationship with Tom. She ended up as a woman that she never wanted to be. I have no idea what Kendall will do or if he will survive this. He has money but no purpose or direction. As much as the sibs have forgiven each other in the past, I dont know if Shiv and Kendall can reconcile for a while after this.

I'm so glad you all enjoyed this show and I really enjoyed your reactions! I like that Bryce mentioned the part about Logan promising the CEO position to 7-year old Kendall because that's something I keep coming back to. I can't imagine being primed as a child for that big of a job, put in all that work at the company, only to have your father take it back, use it to manipulate you and your siblings, and then not even get CEO after he dies. Kendall just breaks my heart at the end there but I definitely think it was the best outcome. CEO Kendall is too much like Logan and getting his father's validation like that is not worth losing himself.

I can’t wait to watch this. I finished the show last week and would watch your reactions after I finish episodes for the last like 2 seasons so have been excited about these last couple episodes to be dropped

What a great show, the best ever for me. I am sad it is over to watch it again with you guys, but glad you reacted to it.

Shiv did the "if I can't have it none of you will either" to her brothers. If they actually worked together instead of fighting for the ceo spot they could actually be a strong force, better than their dad I think. Sadly because of how their father raised them to compete for his love and approval, constantly pitting them against each other, they were never able to rise above it. Shiv could have backstabbed Mattson he served himself on a plate for her and she chose to be subservient. After seeing his character, she should have known that he would never give her what she wanted, but she was led by ego. The brothers kept excluding her and it led to their downfall. This is truly tragic. Tom is more of an adult than any of them, he didn't torture greg after the betrayal and still looked out for him. He probably sees himself in greg.

Logan has pitted his children against each other their entire lives, so it wasn't surprising to see Shiv change her mind on Kendall becoming CEO. They just don't have it in them to let the other sibling "win." That being said, I think it's for the best that none of them ended up in charge of the company. Out of all of them, I think Roman might be the happiest going forward because he honestly looked relieved to be done with the company. Shiv chose to stay close to power by staying with Tom, but she's probably going to be miserable in her married life with a baby she doesn't even seem to be happy about having. Kendall might never recover from this since he thinks it's all he was made for, but at the end of the day they all made billions from this deal, so he can probably start his own company down the road like he was planning to do at the start of the season anyway. In the end, I think Tom was the best choice for CEO. For years, he ate all the shit for the company, and while the kids were busy trying to gain daddy's approval (or in Kendall's case trying to take him down), Tom was the one actually doing the work running ATN, etc.

Tom getting CEO isn't really a win for him either, not sure why people act like it is. He's nothing but Matsson's puppet now (which was always the point of Tom's character and why he ended up being chosen. He's the perfect, simpering, subservient meat puppet. Remember Shiv calling him that?) We've seen how Matsson treats his employees and Tom is going to be no different. Matthew MacFadyen has been especially adamant about this and gets annoyed when people say Tom won the show. "It's not winning anything. That's really missing the point by a million miles. What exactly did he win? It's just another move in a corporate nightmare." The whole point is that they all ended up being fucked in the end and it's all because Logan fucked his kids by raising them in such a toxic, competitive way that they couldn't bring themselves to work together and support Kendall even when it mattered most and the future of the company was at stake. Emotionally, they're all small children fighting over a special toy, and Shiv would rather break that toy than see her brother get it over her.

Sarah Snook chewed up scenes in this. I can feel her facial expressions through the screen. One note on Shiv, she does not have to stay with Tom. She is a billionaire. All the kids are individually after the sale. It is her need to not fail that will keep them together. In my mind, she is back to manipulating and pulling strings from the bedroom, if not the boardroom.

I love this episode so much even rewatching it gave me chills !!! Fun fact: Jeremy actually jumped in the river at the end but they cut it out the show. I can’t even imagine how Jeremy the actor felt since he gets into character very deeply.

What a great show, loved all your reactions to it. This finale was really satisfying in a strange way - I think by finally admitting he's bullshit, Roman might now begin to grow. I think he was drinking Gerri's favorite drink at the end! Also, Bryce looks like a true Roy, nice look!

people forget Tom is gonna be Matsson’s puppet as CEO, so my theory is that he’s gonna keep being a lapdog and a cuck 🤷‍♀️ i don’t look at it like he won, in the grand scheme of things I absolutely love this show and i loved watching you guys react to it, develop feelings towards the deeply flawed but ultimately broken and pitiful Roy siblings, and throw your theories along the way. There’s a lot of theories as to why Kendall hurt Roman but one of my favorites is, it’s the only way Roman knows how to be soothed. Kinda why Roman went into the streets to get beaten cause it’s the only way for him to feel Logan’s love again and in the same way he asks of that from Kendall too. The symbolism of him even showing that physically with a painful hug too is so well done. In the end he’s finally free.

Shiv's decision was something she'd been consistent with from season one even when she had no intention of being in the company, she was willing to give it to a suit like Gerri than have Kendall take over. She supported the deal even before she had intentions of being the one to take over as American ceo, that's why i think her decision to support Kendall at Barbados came from a place of spite and not Logic, also she hadn't had enough time to process and weigh the pros and cons. Mattson choosing Tom clearly came from a place of him wanting someone who would do his bidding and someone who he could control. With Shiv he wouldn't have that even though he recognizes that she's actually smart. Call me a Shivcel but i also think him picking Tom especially had to do with his connection to Shiv because they are a lot more competent suits who are pain sponges in waystar like Karl, Gerri and Frank but he specifically says why not the man who put the baby inside her than the baby lady who he can't control. I think it's like getting two birds with one stone (one beast with two backs according to Tom) About the ending i think it's fitting and i honestly don't think it's a loveless marriage. Tom gained what he's always wanted from Shiv and still he's the one to reach out to Shiv and ask her yo join him in the car, he's also the one to reach out for physical contact once he gets in the car, this clearly shows he still loves her and from shiv trying to ask him for a real relationship clearly shows she still loves him. I also think shiv didn't become her mother or Marcia or some wife to the ceo because if you actually think about it there's no new office he got into that didn't have Shiv somehow be the one to make it happen. Caroline and Marcia never had such power to do that for Logan. I think they're more balanced than they could ever be and even if it's a position she fought so much to get i think she's a very adaptable character

Imagine watching this show for 4 seasons and still think that Kendall should be CEO 😭 I saw more than I expected of reactors who thought Kendall should be CEO just because he asked for it loudest lol I'm glad you guys understood the depth of this show and all the characters. Damn, Zuff with the very poignant comment about the Logan video. It is sweet, but also sad as it shows this whole different life that Logan had that the kids never got to see. Even Connor was old enough that he got a glimpse.

Basically the implication is that Kendall is infertile. One of his kids is adopted, the other is a child from a sperm donor. It paints the entire show in a new light, especially the title “Succession”

The optimist in me feels that now that the question of which sibling would be CEO is over, the siblings and move on and just be siblings rather than competitors. But Shiv's betrayal at the end complicates that unfortunately...

Shiv made the right choice in the end. She’d have more power with a CEO husband than a CEO brother. All four siblings were too damaged & incompetent to succeed Logan, and their Dad knew it.

The power dynamic between Tom and Shiv has completely flipped and she's ultimately going to be more miserable as a powerless spouse than she ever would have been had she just let Kendall have it.

i am happy with tom being ceo actually. he's at least been working his way up and not getting sidetracked like the roy siblings. he's for sure opportunistic and a bit of a suck up but I think he's very calculated in who he sucks up to and who he shows he's a hard worker and/or a good person to have on your side. also I did feel for him with everyone including his wife treating him like shit most of the time. I think Greg has become an increasingly worse person throughout the show but I did enjoy the tom + greg energy a lot as well. hopefully, for the baby's sake, he gets the Marcia treatment instead of Shiv.
