I'd just like to say that you two are a favorite react channel of mine. You both are very attentive to the things you watch, and have great questions without talking over the story. You guys always have great insights but it never feels like you're trying to force it to appear right. Keep doing what you do!

Small unimportant detail: the food that magically appears? It is actually cooked in the kitchens, it just is transported to the dining hall. I don't think it comes up much in the movies, but it's actually a very interesting subplot in the books!

You know if you think about it, Dumbledore saying Ron had played the best game of chess Hogwarts has ever seen is completely accurate when you consider the fact that Ron was at a HUGE disadvantage since he not only had to protect his King, but also one of himself and his friends since they all took the place of chess pieces, at least until he was in a position where he had to sacrifice himself for Harry to make the winning move.

41:11: Error: Chris Columbus directed the first TWO HP films. The third film (Prisoner of Azkaban) was directed by Alfonso Cuarón, who was able to progress the series down a darker path, as the characters were becoming teenagers. Also, actor Richard Harris was Dumbledore in the first two films before he passed away. Then Michael Gambon took on the role for the rest of the series. BTW, Shoshanna, (?) you'll need to deflect your fear of CGI snakes if you expect to understand and enjoy the rest of the series. Especially the LAST film. 😉

This series of films is a massive undertaking guys I hope you're strapped in. I'm sure you will read many more comments along the journey about how the books are by far greater in depth of explanation and characterisation. It's always true. Anytime something doesn't quite make sense in the films....the books explained it.

One of my favourite things about this channel is Vinces side glance at Shashona at all the big reaction sections. I do it with my wife as well ! I enjoy seeing my wife’s reaction to things as well so I get it :-)

The second film might be a tough watch for her due to snakes being a primary focus throughout the second half of the movie. Definitely might get the feeling of being thrown into the deep end, if ya know what I mean. But just remember to keep telling yourself that it’s all fake, it can’t hurt you, it’s there for the terror and adventure to allow the children, story, and evolution of the series as a whole :) As the films go on, more snakes will be shown, but at a certain point, telling you when, will be difficult, as that’ll lead to potential spoilers, and it’ll be happening so frequently that it’ll be difficult to pin point every single appearance. My advice; take your time to build the courage :) don’t force yourself, and if you’re afraid, squeeze Vince’s hand or arm and remember you’re in safe company

What I always thought was really neat was the color grading that progresses through the series. If you look at it in the format of that picture behind you on the wall, you see the coloring of the movies gets darker and darker symbolically just as the story gets darker until the end it has a flash of brightness

In reference to the chess scene (also one of my favorite parts) it's especially awesome when you late find out that it was Professor McGonagall who made that part. So Ron effectively had beaten MacGonagall.

Man I love all these people discovering this series for the first time. It's really cool she is going into this with vague book knowledge, but experiencing these movies is a legit magical event. The music alone from each movie takes me back to every midnight release I went to of both the books and movies. It was a cultural event and I'm so happy I was able to be part of it as it was happening.

I was thinking professor hooch is like a owl - because her eye's are like the owls eyes Quidditch is a combination of sports like below Dodge ball (Bludgers), hockey (keeper), and basketball

I always think it sad that the book publishers in the US decided that Americans just would not understand 'Philosophers stone' and changed it to 'Sorcerors stone'. And for that reason had to keep the change in the name of the film. It's my opinion that the majority of Americans wouldn't have had a problem with the original name.

Regarding the scene from the end, when professor Quirrell is unwrapping his turban, the description of Voldemort face was always snake like, since you read the books a long time ago, probably that’s why you thought/remembered there was a snake under its turban.

One thing to keep in mind when watching these movies, pay attention to every detail.... Because they have a strange way of coming back to you later on... Also keep in mind to be progressively get darker as you move forward...

Funny thing for you guys. This flick is cool and fun, but really the worst of all the movies in the series. The acting gets better, the mystery gets better, the clue solving, the overall story gets more layered and intense as we go deeper and deeper. So I know you guys will love it for sure.

Every semester year for Harry Potter is his Birthday so next Semester he will be 12 in his second year.

U guys really need to upload/finish Harry Potter, as well as Game Of Thrones and the Jurassic franchise. U won't believe what happens in any of them. Refresh yourselves on GOT b4 continuing to remind yourself about everything up to S3 E4. It's very important, because there r several storylines and characters.

Just as a note, the director loved Hermione so he gave her the most. In many places Ron has his most heroic moments taken and given to her instead so Ron seems like just a comic sidekick when he was an equal badass in the books

The end of this movie (the award ceremony) is so darn feel-good, always gets me teary-eyed. Considering it’s from the director of Home Alone, no surprise there.

Fun fact, Nicolas Flamel really existed ! He was a landlord in Paris and got a crazy fortune out of it. (much urban real estate speculation back then when the city was going from wooden houses to stone ones to avoid massive fires), one of his properties is still standing to this day. Harry has quite the detective mindset. The movie stereotyped Hermione and Ron into bookworm -she is but she does all the spells in the movies and stupid sidekick for Ron and striped Harry from his magical prowess; although the book Harry had the detective mindset alright. Ron is still as brave as in the books, thankfully. Do you gal are one of those who can't stand to see a snake even on a photo without feeling triggered? I know it's irrational but movies and photos can't hurt you. Second movie is still directed by Chris Columbus, the director changes from the third movie. Trigger warning, snakes are an integral part of the saga. Slytherin's emblem is a snake. Snakes appear in movies 1(beginning), 2 two times, one in the middle and most of the ending although it is not a real species in our world, more like a dinosaur to your eyes I guess),, briefly in one sequence of movie 3; 4, three brief times; beginning, middle and end, 5, regularly during the movie, brief apparitions and at the end, 7, at least twice and that's quite violent and gross but also very dark both magically and in lighting, 8, mostly near the end but it appears several times and in Fantastic Beasts 1 (sort of, it's a cross between a bird and a snake), in FB 2 in one brief sequence. I don't know the exact time stamps though.

She doesn't like snakes, boy she's really going to love the next movie then

Man, it's a shame that Shoshanna is deathly afraid of snakes. The next films have a focus on them, but they are pretty sparse throughout until the seventh movie. I hope that by this point she has gotten a chance to watch the films. Also I hope that she is able to watch Indiana Jones. They like to use snakes in those movies too but Indiana is also afraid of them.
