One thing that kept hitting me during this (besides how totally adorable you are!) is that you did more walking in this video than I have probably done in a month. Everything is so spread out in the states, and most places don’t have great mass transit, so you have to drive everywhere.

I had two boys and a girl. Loved raising them, enjoyed it so much. Such a great time. Hearing the heartbeat for the first time was so magical. All the emotions you are feeling are perfectly normal. I remember having the same emotions. Life is definitely different after the baby comes, but it’s just a different chapter in your life that’s exciting and rewarding.

Utterly delighted and excited for you, Juki and your son on the way! Ultrasounds (ultra scans) are a miracle. In the 1950s (I was born in 1956) my mom got pregnant again 4 months after I was born and was getting twice as big (no ultra scans then) and then in 1957 it was time for the birth - out came a boy and 5 minutes later out came ANOTHER boy. Identical twins! We were practically triplets (13 months apart) and my mom had her family of a daughter and two sons. Such blessings! I am wishing you all the blessings - I am feeling all of the deepest hopes and dreams for you! P.S. That was a sweet surprise to see Sari Nordlund shopping with you, I did not realize that you were friends. I am knitting a pair of her lace socks just now in Tucson, Arizona where I live and it is so refreshing to feel all the Finland vibes! P.P.S. Looks like Seinfeld I caught a glimpse of on the TV ;-) and of late we have been watching Icelandic and Finnish shows with English subtitles. It's great to share.

Oh how lovely! A little boy. I grew up with all sisters so when my first nephew came along I wasn’t quite sure what to do with him. Let me tell you, my nephews are so cuddly and affectionate, much more so than my nieces. The eldest is now 18 and he still gives me a cuddle whenever I see him. Whatever the gender, when they rest their little head on your shoulder and you feel their soft breath on your neck, you just melt. I have 10 nieces and nephews and they all have me wrapped around their fingers. ❤ I just adore them! What an amazing adventure for you and Juki, starting your family. 😊

You will still b3 able to do all of the things you did before. You just make adjustments for the little lad. I was 29 when I had my first and the day before her birth, I said to my husband, “What if I don’t like the person we have to bring home.” I fell instantly in love with her and have never had such a love. She is 44 and I still can tear up when I think how precious and wonderful she is. Nothing is better in my life.

You describe pregnancy perfectly, it can be a roller coaster of emotions especially with the hormones. It’s very normal to be excited but scared at the same time. Your little boy will be the best dressed baby around 😊 I love all the cable knits ❤️

To have these thoughts and feelings during pregnancy is pretty normal. It's a great adventure to become parents and it is quite normal to have fear sometimes. My daughter never wants to have children, but now she has a 8 week old baby girl and it is so cute to see both together. She is doing so well and I'm so proud of her. About the clothes: Up till about 3 mos, they are very messy especially if you're breastfeeding. Sometimes it seems changing the diaper involves the whole outfit as well. This is why people get the little flannel nighties that open in the back and little jumpers with snaps. Quick change! A load of laundry each day. It's a good idea to concentrate your budget for cute, high quality stuff for when they're a little older.

I have three boys and no girls. I was raised with 4 sisters and no brothers so it was definitely a new experience for me! I always wanted a little girl but now that I have my three boys I obviously wouldn’t change them for the world. They are so loving and so sweet. It’s just so much fun, you’re going to love it!

We are finally getting our daughter as my youngest son is going to get married next year. The best thing you and your husband can do for you children is to take care of your marriage. I remember feeling that something bad would happen all the way through my pregnancy. I felt like I wasn't worthy enough to be carrying a little miracle. I think it's only natural to feel like that when you've waited so long and believed that it would never happen. 😊

When I was watching your ultrasound, and listening to the little heartbeat, I also started to have a little cry. For the beauty of your experience, and for the memory of my own experience when I went to get an ultrasound when I was pregnant. So amazing and special. I am happy for you. And enjoying being with my son who is now 13!

The baby’s bed is like the one in our family that at least three generations used, including me, and then my two sons. It was shipped from state to state, as needed.

I remember wanting to accomplish a lot of things before my baby was born, because I thought I’d never be able to get anything done - or buy anything again! Yes, Baby gets priority for a long time - as he should….but life goes on and you will still be YOU. Your incredible knitting skills, your relationship with your husband, your friends…all the other things that make you YOU, will still be there - some temporarily on the back burner, is all! Try, TRY to stop those scary imaginings when you have them…but it’s so NORMAL to be scared! It shows that you really care about being a good mother! I have one son and he still -at age 34- gives us so much love and joy!

Awww ❤❤❤❤ You worry too much! Practically, your baby knows what to do but You can define every cell of the way. Enjoy every moment, because your worries will be passed down on the baby. It is a unique bond everything is the way it should be. You are a good mommy.

Do your best to live in the moment and enjoy the special time that is your pregnancy. Worrying about what could happen will steal your joy and is pointless since the future doesn't exist, the past is gone, but you have this time in the present and it is so good.

congratulations!! from one boy mama to the next! my little boy is a ray of sunshine, he loves to make every face in the room light up with his joy and cuteness. this was such a special vlog and I love that we can follow your journey through pregnancy! as far as baby clothes - buy whatever brings you joy but in my experience all we used of his newborn and 0-6 month clothes were the pajamas & onesies LOL. he grew out of those sizes so quickly. good to have enough onesies/sleepers for a week plus extra for all the accidents they have haha but thats all you need for each range of clothes since you’ll be doing way more laundry than you’d think a little person can add 😂💛

I had my son at 43 (after 10 years of trying, 16 years after my daughter) and I was anxious + worried a lot too. I think it is a natural response, especially when it is so challenging to conceive. Especially when we want them so badly! Mine is 5 this week and let me tell you those moments of overwhelming joy and happy tears hit me still.

Dear Kika, I am a mother of 2 sons and my life changed a lot with their birth. I have changed a lot. And I am grateful to you for sharing your feelings and happiness and your fears. People often talk only about joy, anticipation, but part of pregnancy are also worries about what will come, not so optimistic feelings, confusings. And it is good and balanced to talk about it from both sides, young ladies and women should know both sides. And back to what it brought me - many beautiful years, sometimes exhaustion, other times big joy. Enjoy every minute with your child.❤❤❤

I used to eat ice cream in both my pregnancies when I didn‘t feel movements and was worried, the sugar and the cold made them move usually. Life will change a lot, everything will be very different, but it is a indescribable experience, and it will make you stronger than you can ever imagine.

The things you are worried about giving up, won't seem so important anymore. You may be dissapointed initially about not buying little dresses, but the bond that forms between mom and her little boy is indescribable, there are no words powerful enough to explain. You'll see.

I've been following uou for a year or so. When I'm frazzled, listening & watching make me feel much. I'm so excited you & Juki are going to be mom & dad soon ! The 1st one is scary at first in labor. You'll forget all you've just gone through & only think of your soon to be son. 😊 Enjoy every moment. My daught & son are 41 & 39..... time flew by ! My granddaughter is already 16 ! Scary 😆 Relax as much as you can because you'll give your all to your son 😊 Congratulations on baby & your books 🎉😮😊❤
