Amazing result to finally finish in 3rd place from an unexpected result.
Rob drove amazing in his stint and huge thank you to John Danby Racing for great car prep!
Sadly for Ric he experienced an electric issue drawing him out of his race with a couple laps to go. All covered in this video.

jake shows his class again in gaining a prestigious 3rd place in the mustang, a car he doesnt know. Good day for the btcc boys with huff,ingram,shedden,sutton and jake all right on the pace. Great racing,highlighting the goodwood events being the best in the world.

Whilst Watching live, I was kinda confused as to how you came 3rd, this video clears that up 😅 And that moment you had to run off to jump in can-am car was great, I just thought wow! How lucky is this guy, well done

How do you stay so focused and happy having to drive all those immaculate dreary cars around a circuit 😂.. makes stacking shelves in a supermarket look good ! Lol. Seriously though it's probably the best racing there is today , analogue driving showing who has the talent , just love it . The whole Goodwood thing is probably the best thing about Britain today , lose yourself in better times . Countdown to BTCC , just hope those who make the rules don't kill the last exciting series there is . F1 is just nowhere in the 21st century and Moto GP going the same way . Good luck dude for the season 👍

Nice video Jake! Good to see your battle with Timo in the Mustangs... We wondered where that red paint came from! Looks like from the Vbox footage that the box jams on him going into the chicane, hence the unexpected 'stop'. Good luck for the rest of the season - Fred

Hi Jake 👋. Firstly thanks a lot for taking "us" with you. It's great to see Goodwood from the famous side.😁 One question though. What's the mentality/mindset like behind the racing as a racing driver yourself? With the fact that there is no championship to go for or points to be scored, it always intrigues me how competitive everyone is on the grid! 😅 As much as those prizes at the end of the video are nice and should be cherished, is it mostly about bragging rights between drivers and teams for the 12 month period? 😁 - Scott

Great questions there Scott, you are correct. There is no championship and prizes just a fantastic event. But because all the GW events are so good, everyone wants to success and also if the car does well at an event such as GW it could potentially be worth more money in value. So there are a few reasons why but at the end of the day we are all racing drivers and we want to be up the sharp end especially when you get to race against people you could only ever dream of!

@@jakehillracing It's a win-win all round for the drivers, teams and us spectators to see some good ol' fashioned, close quarters motor racing. 👌 Maybe a certain Alan Gow should take a look at this format and scrap all championship points scoring and see how it works out. 🤔😅 - Scott
