No, we did not buy this insane property, we just wanted to show you guys how awesome it is! One of my favorite parts of this place is the insanely unique design and finishes put together by Bond Design Company
Instagram: / bonddesigncompany
Here are some of the details about this place:
Listing Price: $25,900,000
6 Bedrooms, 6.5 Baths
12,377 sq ft interior space / (1150 sqm)
49.11 acre lot / (198741 sqm)
Perfectly situated on the edge of national forest land, this modern mountain estate offers the rare opportunity to live off the grid in ultimate luxury. No expense was spared in the 4 year build of this incredible cabin. With nearly fifty acres, including four additional building lots with separate Tax IDs, this property provides the ideal opportunity to create your own family compound or sell off some of the lots.
The home was thoughtfully designed to seamlessly blend the original cabin with a massive addition that was completed in 2022 by Magleby Construction. The inspired design is complimented by state-of-the-art components including a Savant smart-home technology system, power supplied by an extensive 41 kilowatt solar array (including a commercial backup generator), nearly 300 kilowatt hours of battery backup, six 1,000-gallon propane tanks, and an extensive commercial water filtration system that produces some of the most exceptional water you will ever taste with over 1,000 gallons of water storage.

Agreed. The great entrance and central part were absolutely amazing too…but everything else, like the small closets and the flow of the kitchen, were meh 🫤. Hey, it might be just a woman point of view! The view out the windows definitely added value, but not astounding enough for $26mil.

This is a perfect example of "don't judge a book by its cover". You two are awesome. You look like you shouldn't be able to give such a grand tour with incredible professionalism, information, humor, wit, etc... But you nailed it. Other than that... this property is completely bonkers. I wish I was a bazillionaire. If I could be picky for a second... the ONLY thing I spotted that I would want to do to make this feel even more custom, would be to "blend" the stone pavers directly into the blacktop/asphalt, instead of just having a straight line/cut. It would make it a much more elegant transition from one material to another. And goodness knows, the owners could afford the extra couple of thousand dollars for the custom look. The other thing... those inset, white mini-split air conditioners just look odd and cheap for a home of this grandeur. A 3D-printed wallpaper that perfectly matches the surrounding stone (or other material) would make them blend right in instead of standing out. If that makes sense.

I used to design these types of homes & commercial properties for my Grandfathers & my Dad's Real Estate Corporation; this property is absolutely gorgeous!!! In my opinion this home should sell for at least 55+ million dollars and I would bet I would have a bidding war at that price. The only item that’s missing from this property that I can tell is the garage for your helicopter to replaced them after you landed it so that it doesn’t get caked with ice and snow during the winter months.

It’s not the purchase price but the upkeep. For a house like that you have a small army there daily, cleaning, cooking, painting, scrubbing decks, pressure washing the pavers. Maybe an investment portfolio of 300 million and you could sustain that life style. With that many people to make it interesting as your guests- there’s food and drink! Such a double door is named a farmhouse door, but often also called a Dutch door. Fifty years ago our family had two in our old cottage in Holland and a few years ago I got one built for my own cabin. It is so named because it allows the fresh air in, but keeps the chickens out. :) And typically the whole door can be open, or only the top half, or the top just a little bit.

Yes failure is exactly what I was thinking myself. Never been to nothing better than a holiday Inn. But that is what my tast would be if I accidentally became rich. I'm just afraid I would get lost and no one would hear me scream for help. That place is huge. I suppose I'd just have to call 911 every day and tell them I'm lost again and pay them to come and rescue me from myself in my own home. Ohhh the pain of being rich.

Only in my dreams that I could ever own something like that. So beautiful and stunning, words don't even explain the shear awesomeness of that property, my mouth was on the floor the whole time, good tour D. I am surprised that it is even being sold, of course there are tons of reasons why someone would but if it was mine, I would find any and every way possible to keep the dream family refuge in the family.

Workout room, theater, game room, 2 offices, massive living room. All in floor heat. Just saying, I know what goes into building mansions, so I appreciate the house more than most people

Dave, JAW DROPPING BEAUTIFUL!!! A tip of the hat, OH HELL, get on my knees and bow to the man/person who had the concept to construct this Masterpiece.. The attention to detail, through out, is the one thing that stood out in my eyes, a level of craftmanship that is not found easily... Thank You for the first hand tour... Not a home I'd be comfortable living in, not enough garage and workshop space for me but with that kind of money, that too can change....lol..

What an absolutely spectacular property. $26 Million - it seems to me - is NOT an outrageous price. In fact, in my opinion, the price is low. I have looked at homes for nearly that much with not even a fraction of what this home offers. Great tour and explanation of all this gem has to offer.

Thank you for showing me my retirement house guys, It's perfect! Build a barn and fence of a couple of those 49 acres to raise my own cattle, chicken, pigs, plant a vegetable garden and orchard, add a small processing and storage building downwind a couple acres away from the main property and the animals and spend the rest of my days in my own little self contained world.

This place is absolutely incredible... I have a friend up in northern British Columbia that has a mini version of this place with the peace River running through his property with a giant log cabin. This place has everything. The only thing I was surprised it didn't have was its own nine hole golf course. With such majestic views and open pasture areas and wooded areas combined. It wouldn't have been that hard. Oh well if the new owners can spring $30 million for a home another couple of million to put in nine holes would be cheap and a good investment as it would take it to that Camp David or MaraLago type of home. Unbelievable...

Impressive videography, Dave. Those are called Dutch doors, they are not used much in contemporary construction. There are so many little details throughout the entire property that are very impressive. A friend of mine built his own log house from the trees he harvested on the property and this house was built the same way. A new log is set on top of the existing log in place, the new log is scribed along the length of the log, removed and a cut out is made to match the shape and contour of the log it will be joined to. Actually, as your tour continued they construction was changed with logs set on others without any cut out on the underside of the logs Excellent construction either way. And there are excellent cinder screens on all the chimneys so nothing can escape and start a wildfire. A huge, twenty-six million dollar WOW!
