Every now and then we happen to find something amazing. This was one of those days. We know or have heard of Kruger 's Gold or millions. Today we found a piece of that treasure. Finding a gold coin is special anyday, but finding a ZAR pond is just something else. Metal Detecting South Africa.

Unfortunately not, that area had a lot of jewelry and brooches. Most probably a piece of necklace or bracelet

Good finds but its open field and flat if that hole was a mine shaft what it is not because a mine shaft is under ground i believe that hole was for throwing in rubbish mayby and close it up and the ground dont show symbols of gold also but good hunt and good find

Hanlo it depends on a few things. For most of them only their weight in gold.

Rubbing your gloves over it causes hairlines and damage. I do wish you metal detectors would not do this, you cause so much damage, and reduces its value.

@@ZARRPSMETALDETECTINGSA Please don't think I was having a go at you, I wasn't, it's just that so many coins get ruined. First rule is never rub coins under any circumstances. Never clean them, just pour water over the coin if it's got dirt on it, then dab, not rub with a small towel. Always get in the habit, of holding coin by the edge, hands contain acid. New coins, when fingers go get finger marks, that also contain acids. If you what I have said, you will get more money for your coins if you want to sell them. Cleaned coins become no value to collectors or museums.
